I mentioned autocross. In SCCA events the 350Z and G35 will not race in the same class. For raw times are there G35 racers who will kick my butt? Most certainly.

After having driven both cars of the same year, an Enthusiast Z and a track Z (Mine
) and a 6mt G, I can easily say the G is too tall stock and has too much body roll to contend with the Z when it comes to cornering and tossability. That being said, both cars are electronically limited at 156 mph and while I haven't driven a G that fast, my Z feels plenty stable. So I think the winner would be the Z.

Best Z handling ever and very stable at high speeds, not for drag racing.

I’m not sure if anyone has mentioned this, but there is a noticeable handling difference among the different models in the G35/G37 coupe line.
If the main criteria when comparing a G35/G37 to a 350 Z is handling, you should use the G35/G37 Coupe Sport 6MT (it has a different suspension) for this test.

correct, it'd be the only 'stock' one that should be compared. My friend has one and it rides rougher than my Z,
handles better?, nope...

What point were you trying to make? And what do you mean by handle, unless you are talking about your business and you're a PIMP.
The 350Z is a Sport Car the G35 is a Sports luxury Coupe, which one sounds like it should handle best, let you common sense guide ya. Of course the 350Z.
The G has better interior bc can you guess why? Bc its a SLC. Bingo.

LOL. YOU sir, must not know much about spinners and/or aerodynamics.
You see, when a vehicle with spinners rounds a hard corner at high speed, the spinners on all four wheels are generally spinning at a rather high rate of speed. Given sufficiently large wheels (20 inches is the MINIMUM), this rapid spinning actually creates four small vortecies (plural of vortex, I looked it up) at each corner of the vehicle.
Now, think of an airplane propeller - it spins, pulling air back, thus moving the plane forward. Well, these large spinners function in a similar way, pulling air toward the vehicle, thus moving the car in the opposite direction.
So, when a vehicle with large spinners rounds a corner, the inside spinners actually pull the car in the direction of the turn, while the outside spinners provide stability, making for a smooth, incredibly stable cornering experience.
Why else would people in Escalades feel safe enough to drive well over the speed limit while weaving through traffic? The incredible handling they know they have, provided by their extra large spinners.
(Edit cause I spelled 'airplane' wrong >.> )
Its best to cut the springs on the car too. For better handling you have to cut a minimum of 4 inchs off the springs. Since the springs are smaller now they will be softer for better street and firmer on the track. Trust me on this one. And do get the spinners its all about the rotational mass (spinners add to the rotation making mass smaller thus better handling and make the car faster, since they are connected to the axles its called axcelleration.
just read this road and track review g coupe achieved 0.92g around the skidpad and danced through the slalom at 67.7 mph, besting the 350Z's 0.89g and 65.6 mph.

check g coupe handling

now check the 350z

what happens is some people think that the go kart quick reaction from the z is handling when it's not. handling is determined by how much speed and grip is achieved at corners, turns.
so now everyone has their answer

The G35/G37 is more stable due to longer wheel base in turns and it's easier to control. I had two G35s before the Z. The Z handles better than a G but you have to be careful at it's limits or it will snap it's rear loose without notice sometimes. The G would never do that.

For instance, a Porsche Cayenne probably has more grip in outright terms than a miata. Does that mean it handles better? Not necessarily.
If two cars reach their limits around a corner at the same speed, but one of them is an understeering mess, while the other one can be throttle steered through a four wheel drift on said corner, do both cars have "equal handling?"

Actual numbers do not prove anything. Take both cars to a track and you will see the difference. You could take a Minivan and put suspension on it to pull .90 Gs but will it take the sudden lane change manuvers like a 350z? NO.

For all you know on the skidpad test the Z can be using poor quality stock Bridgestones and the G35/37 can be using PS2s.
