Default racetrack stickers?

My car has 3 small round stickers inside the drivers door. One is blue with "233" written in pen. The other two are orange with "236" and "217". These stickers were on the car when I bought it in October brand new off the showroom floor. When I got the car serviced today the receipt noted "there are track stickers inside the drivers door". I called the service department and they told me those are racetrack stickers and the car had been on a racetrack. I've never been to a racetrack and don't know what a racetrack sticker looks like. Did anybody elses car have similar stickers when new? What's going on? Please help!

I;ve only done a couple track events, and auto-x, but never had a sticker in the door jamb.

Tech stickers go on the windshield glass, and numbers go on the side of the car where they can be seen.

oh yeah, how many miles when you bought it? I'm sure there weren't enough that someone sneaked it onto a track 3 times!

Mine had those too. The car was not on a race track. It is most likely a number of the guy who inspected the car either at port of in Japan.

I have a small blue sticker on my doorjamb reading 2-17. I had assumed this was the date of manufacture.

I agree with BobbyZ--they are probably inspection stickers. I asked a few racers at a track day today, and they never had small round stickers placed anywhere on their cars. I also would think that anyone who had been around cars for long, such as people who might work in Nissan service areas, would know better.

In any event we are allowed to take our cars on race tracks and even get obscure stickers put on our car. The Nissan service and warrantee isn't affected. Nissan even markets some of our cars as 'track' cars.

As an aside, I checked four Nissan dealers before I found someone in the service dept who actually acted interested and knowledgeable about 350's and other Nissans. Most were quite bored with their job and had no enthusiasm for the work.

I've been to tracks, no numbered stickers... I believe they said "Track number", they meant to track the inspections...

maybe it just means Nissan built it and drove it out of the factory door onto a test track real quick to check it out.....maybe they only do this to one in every bunch of them and mark them with the stickers. who knows. they probably are "inspected by" stickers....like you get on shoes and stuff.
