Anyone want to join the "Beat the wife club"? Curbed wheels
Well as the title states, my wife curbed one of the wheels on the Z and didn't think it was worth telling me. Apparently she thought it would be better to let me notice it on my own!!!
So Im walking out to it in the parking lot the other day and see something on the wheel from like 500ft away. Im like damnit I think its curbed, but hoping I was wrong. So I get up closer and low and behold. It is curbed
I called her to ask her when she did it and she denied it. I said I know it wasn't me , because obviously I would know if I did it and would have freaked out. She then said she thought it was from so and so night when she tried to paralell park.
Ughhhh. So then she lied to me on top of doing it.
Ive been flaming over this for over a week now.
Off to Ebay to see if I can find a front 07 wheel. If not, i told her Im buying Volks because this rash totally turns me off and made my minty fresh car not so minty fresh anymore.

On a side note, my wife drives an Armada, it's really hard to curb one of those wheels.

I curbed one of the wheels on my 04, and it was all my fault. Accidents happen.
I am also one of the most careful people you will meet, when it comes to parking and clearing curbs, but you may still have a lapse in judgement.

Your rims are one of the easiest things to replace on a car. An OEM front is $300.
In general avoid parallel parking like the plague. Everyone curbs a rim at some point no matter how careful you are. In my opinion you're more likely to get backed into or rear-ended when parallel parked anyway. So don't do it if you can!
A few months ago when I still had my Si I was parallel parked on a slight hill with no one behind me in front of a friend's building. A car started to parallel park in front of me. The guy was rolling back slowly and got too close for comfort. I put the car in neutral and rolled back slowly at his pace. He kept rolling back past the point when he should have stopped and pulled back forward a little. I realized he was just going to roll back until he "tapped" me and then straighten out. So I gave myself some more distance moving back and slammed the horn. He hadn't realized there was someone in the car behind him, freaked out, got out of the car and started apologizing profusely.
Body work on bumpers is more expensive than a curbed stock rim.

Just stick it in her butt and call it a day. Also get your wheel fixed.
