Default make a wish

Does anyone here think they will TT a Z if the kid asked for it? Anyone think the local shops would participate? Like Forged, Performance factory,SGP?
Make a wish grants wishes to kids under the age of 18 if they were diagnosed with a life threatening illness. ie cancer, aids

I don't think so that just sounds ridiculous, Like one of my friends right now she is going to walk 30+ miles back to her house, because her boyfriend broke up with her right now. I'm so mad right now

only if the car was then auctioned off to help pay for cancer research or something like that. other than that i do not see it happening just so the kids parents can drive a TT car for free after they kick the bucket

possibly, my ex-gf was diagnosed with AML luekemia. she was given a baby grand piano by the make a wish foundation which would be well over the price it would cost to TT a Z.

oh, and she made it through into remission and still has the piano

Marshwood High School senior Tyler ***** reacts to seeing his brand new "pimped" Eagle Talon as his school mates look on at the high school on Friday afternoon.

******, Maine -- Some want to go to Disney World and others want to meet David Ortiz, but when Marshwood senior Tyler ***** was approached by the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Maine, he asked the group to "pimp his ride."

After three months of custom work and repairs, Tyler got to see his tricked out Eagle Talon for the first time Friday afternoon in front of the entire Marshwood High School student body. Although he knew the car was being worked on, he didn't know what was being done or when it would be finished.

"I just wanted it to look like an import racer," said ***** as he looked at his Talon in disbelief. "I had no idea it was going to be this great."

Thanks to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Maine, *****'s Talon has new wheels and tires, a new stereo with two sub-woofer speakers, a seven-inch video monitor, Alpine DVD player, Viper alarm system and custom paint job, complete with realistic flames. The car even has a special spoiler that is one of three in the entire country.

"This is unbelievable. It's sick," said *****. "I'm still shaking from it."

Tyler is in remission from Rhabdomyosarcoma, a kind of cancer common in children, and was referred to the Make-a-Wish Foundation by the Maine Children's Cancer Program.

Amy Theiss, communications director for Make-A-Wish Foundation of Maine, said ***** wanted his car fixed after he had damaged it and hoped he could have it done before homecoming. Although the group had planned to finish it earlier, a number of setbacks forced the unveiling just hours before the big game.

To surprise *****, his mother, Joanne, had arranged to meet her son at school. While all the students were heading to the football field after the pep rally for a "special celebration," Joanne was stalling Tyler in the guidance office.

As the two left the school grounds, they made a detour to the football field parking lot, where a large trailer held *****'s Talon.

"I was like, what could that be," said *****. "Of course I was being fooled by everyone."

Joanne covered her son's eyes as the car was rolled off the trailer and students screamed in anticipation of the surprise. When the blindfold was removed and Small got his first look at the car, it literally took his breath away.

"Is that my ride?" he asked. "I'm like, out of breath right now."

When asked where he planned to take his car first, ***** said, "I'm just going to go somewhere I can drive it ... . I'll just go wherever my foot takes me."

The work was headed by Ray Tourigny of Extreme Rod and Custom of Portland, but he said the entire project was a team effort. Sanford Sound installed the stereo, window tinting and inside lighting, and Archie's Off Road and Performance Center of Wells, Chuck's Automotive of Wells and CFA Imported Parts of Lewiston located special parts. Mark Maguire of NAPA Auto Parts selected the people who would do the work, and American Racing, Portland Speed and Pape Mitzubishi helped as well. Bernie's Auto Repair also made last minutes repairs on the car.

OK OK, I loved the car, It was one of the happiest days of my life untill they:

1) Blew the head gasket on test drive number one= $750 labor+parts charge
2) Day of unvailing; "Last minute repairs" referred in the artical, never remembered to put oil back in the motor after top end rebuild= $2000 for a new motor+$5000 labor ???? if u dont believe me, i will copy the bill on my scanner an post it. and another thing to, this was a BODY SHOP doing MECHANIC WORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!! = FAILLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

So NOW i have a service bill on a car i no longer have or even drove BECAUSE u know what it looked like 6 days later after it got on the road again:

AFTER:

cause of fire: Hydrolic assist on master slave cylinder, idiots kinked the hydrolic line to the tranny when putting in the new motor which caused a clutch pressure overload and created a flash fire.

Make a wish to this day wont take the reponsiblity for the issue...

Its up to the judges now

so a question for your question sir: Do YOU want your Z to look like my car???
