Your are all crazy it is a car
Well, Not that the opinion of 16 year olds are valued very highly on this site from what I can tell from previous posts, but oh well. This is one 16 year old who has been following the Z since the concept days and can understand the turmoil of all you guys waiting for what must seem like an eternity for your cars to come. I might be getting a Z if I can talk him into it. So far the odds are in my favor. I won't have to pay for it or the insurance and trust me, I know how lucky I am. If I end up being lucky enough to get one I would treat that car with the utmost care. So don't think that all of us semi-privledged 16 year old Z fans are utter jackasses who can't appreciate the benevolence of their fortunate situation. BTW I talked to my local nissan dealer today (Independence Nissan, Charlotte,NC) and he said they were having a Z car meet on the 24th of August. They will have a 350 there that you can sit in, play with, drool over, etc. Hopefully seeing the car will help my dad make a favorable decision on my behalf. Oh yeah, driving a 2002 viper for a year but being afraid to use a clutch. Funny how that doesn't add up properly. Go figure.

Opinions are judged on content, not by age of poster. It is just that those of us with more life experience find it particularly offensive when someone with basicly little or no life experience preaches to us.
While I'm perfectly OK with a 'Banning'. Maybe if we just completely ignored all of his post in the future, it would be a more appropriate punishment.
If a post gets ignored on my350Z.com. Is it really a post?

GEEZEE, Thanks for your response. Another thought for Velodrome, 5000 dollar bikes eh? I am assuming we are talking some form of mountain biking, I am also assuming that its a XC bike. World Championship ? I guess its easy to be a fast XC geek on your custom built titanium hardtail. Why don't you get a bike with some real travel and try some Downhill. Daddy can't save you when your falling over your handlebars at 30 miles an hour on the side of a ski slope. And if your a roadie, well, enough said. BTW I ride a 2001 Kona stinky dee lux with custom rear linkage plates and like hell I would put it on a Z. Go buy a old truck and put it in the back. Puting a hitch on a Z is like putting a cargo rack on the back of a road bike. Makes no sense. Im my opinion at least. More of my 2 cents.
Salreau02 - You got something against roadies
.
I've been riding seriously since the '70s and while I do own a Stumpjumper pro XC, my real passion is the road bike. I'm too old to do the crazy mountain bike stuff that looks like so much fun on TV. Everytime I get in over my head, I wind up injured (last time was a broken thumb and broken rib trying above mentioned downhill sillyness).
Please be considerate of your roadie compatriots and don't blame us for having a sense of self preservation.
BTW, I have a fairly non-descript road bike that cost about $2500, so $5K for a real competition road bike is very easy to do.
Enjoy.

I say we find out who he really is and call up daddy and ask him if he know's what kinda "****" his son is. Most rich fathers that spoil their kids don't realize what a ***** that child becomes with the toys..
I think it's time that Master Bates finds out.
I was 18 years old when I got my first "my" car. A 2000 Eclipse, 11 miles on her, I'll never forget the day, Oct 28, 1999. She was and is ALL MINE, I worked my *** off for her and now 33 months and 67,000 miles later, I'm selling her for a Z. I love/loved that car and I will love this Z. But I didn't love my first car, the one daddy gave me, it was a '93 cougar in less then perfect condition. Serves me right to be 16 and have daddy buy me a car. *Sniff*, i was sooo spoiled.
But wait, i learned and became aware of value. What a beautiful lesson, lets all teach it to little billy.
Ciao,

First of all this punk kid is a jack-a$$ and sorry to say but he will evolve into a bigger a much biggger jack-a$$ as time goes on.
velodrome as much as you really need some respect beatin into you your parents are the ones who really need a beatin. And sorry to say to all you 16 year old's out there. If your parents are buying you this car they are truly out of thier minds. and you will never learn the value of a dollar
I would never put my son or daughter at the age of 16 behind the wheel of a high performance car. most 16 year old kids can't even park a car. It's like a death-wish for your kid.
Give your pre-order away sell it on e-bay to someone who can appreciate it, and buy another poly-thousand dollar bike or better yet buy a used SUV or pick-up truck to lug your bikes around. I guarentee that you would take better care of used truck that you payed for with your own money. Then a brand new Z that was handed to your spoiled rotten punk a$$
GO GET A JOB AND FOR ONCE IN YOUR LIFE EARN SOMETHING ON YOUR OWN.

Wow, I will let you know when the opinion of a High School brat matters to ME, and what I expect with MY money.
Sure, tell mommy to buy me one also, and I won't care if its one month late (not one week).
Man, my ignore list just keeps getting longer. I bet the average age of the people on it is about 16 also.

First of all, YOU won't be riding jack **** at the Worlds. Yes some bikes are 5 grand, My C40 is Seven. Third of all I doubt your a 16 year old Cat1, so don't give others that know nothing about cycling an impression tht you will be a world champion, you race juniors, probably 15-16 year old age group. But please don't keep your trap shut you probably get your but schooled every weekend and you think nobody knows anything about your sport so you can pop off like a little punk, AND anyone who let his 16 year old drive his new Viper should have his head examined.
Whats your name I'll see if its on the USA Cycling roster?
