Heavy emphasis on "you think". That is NOT liquid silver. Those pictures have been posted many times in this forum. That is a custom paint job that many people estimate cost around ten thousand dollars. It was only on that particular show car.

It is the opinion of pretty much everyone who has seen those that there is no way liquid silver will only cost an extra thousand and look that good.

Try searching the forums and you will come to find many threads about this, and those pictures in particular.

you guys underestimate the power of lighting.. that looks like a regular silver Z with about $5k of lights overhead... ever notice how cars look a LOT better in dealer showrooms... my infiniti dealer claims their lighting system is $10k .. this is also why advertising shots of cars and other products look awesome... lighting is key

THAT IS NOT LIQUID SILVER!

that is the concept Z, it has a liquid metallic silver paint job, and yes I have heard the liquid silver we will get is that "color" but that paint job actually LOOKED liquid, it was PERFECT. but it required dozens of coats to get the look. the effect of that paint was not only in the actual substance but also in the application of it. it can not be duplicated with the equipment the line would have, and they arent gonna set up a new paint line for the one silver Z.

You are kidding, right? You own a Toyota. The Z is made by Nissan. Color names are totally menaingless.

They could each create a new color and name them both "SameExactColor" and one might be black and the other could be white.

Just because yours says "Liquid silver..." doens't mean it will look like Nissan's Liquid Silver. There is no Color Court or somethign that tells people what to call thier colors. They make up the names.

names are meaning less, but for some reason people think "liquid silver" means it will be the liquid looking silver on the concept car.

just goes to show that the name can have liquid in it and not have any liquid appearance.

100k?!?!?!?

For that much money, the car better come with it -- with a free Sentra to drive during the week!

Default Yeah right

No one would pay $100,000 for ONE paint job! I've never heard of anything like that.

Do you have a source for that price?? Cause if there someone trying to offer THAT paint job for 100 G's, they're nuts.

Liquid Aluminum for the Z, Liquid Silver for the Maxima. Different names=different colors.

Now, THIS is Liquid Silver!

FiddlerG35c is correct, with proper lighting, you can make regular silver looks stunning! well of course, you can also make regular silver looks stunning with Adobe Photo Shop

but to get back to the subject, our Z will have Liquid Aluminum, not Liquid Silver.. There is a difference..
