I have gotten letters like that in the past. Its so they can get you into the dealership and then try to get you to buy a new car. I would not take it seriously unless you want to actually buy a new car.

Do a search and you'll find that these sales scams come up regularly. Sure, any dealer would be glad to "buy back" your car (trade-in actually) and sell you another one.

Obviously you are a very special customer. I would take advantage of the offer immediately.

They can't have mine back! I love my Z and I get compliments all the time! Funny thing is, it still looks stock other than the Advan wheels, suspension, and a Blitz spoiler.

anyone get like five THOUSAND notices that your warranty is about to run out?

I get one in the mail just about every other day.. its getting -really- annoying.

and my warranty isnt really running out, its certified through nissan until 80,000 miles (has under 50,000 miles on it) Gah

yup, a scam. We use to do this all the time at my old dealer. We also sent out a lot of fake keys in letter and telling them to come down and try to see if it works on a car to win it for free. This is just a way for you to come down so we can talk you into buying a car.

Nope, my dad works for Toyota and they did the same thing but they had a select amount of vehicles for you to try and you only got 1 try. Supposedly your key will open one vehicle but I got hold of like 15 keys and not one worked on ANY car, though the sales people swore up and down that it would...

I got these damned things in the mail and voicemail on our home phone as well. For a while my wife and I were getting them regularly on our cellphones also. They were recorded announcements and came from some 800 number. I get the feeling it is a rogue outfit that calls numbers and tries to get you to buy an extended warranty of some type. They seem to have stopped but if they start up again I'm going to report the number to the Do Not Call website and hope it does some good.
