vehicle buyback(350z)
It's not necessarily a scam. I know subaru runs these towards the end of the year and it's a fantastic deal. They usually are willing to offer you top dollar for your trade in guaranteed with the letter ( the letter should have a guaranteed buy back price on it already) and on top of that if your car is under mileage (typically well under what the average mileage should be for your cars age) you get additional money. For example with my 06 WRX they were willing to give me 19500 for it no matter what, assuming no major mechanical, interior, or exterior flaws. It was great because you could haggle for the price of the car and then when ready bust out the letter for your trade and they couldn't do anything to screw you over on the trade. Further more I know with subaru they will flat out just buy it at the price according to the letter no matter if you buy a car or not. I was going to do it last year to try to get into an STI but at the time they didn't have the one I wanted.
Not sure if Nissan has the same buy back program but it's worth looking into if you are looking to get rid of your Z or buy another nissan.

Especially when your friends get those type of phone calls all the time and they don't even own cars.
