.....heading down SOBT here in Orlando and I find myself in the center lane...and what do you know. On my right is a Z Roadster and on my left is a 08 Z coupe (appeared to be stock). We are all right in a row....so I tapped my horn to show some Z love and neither of them even turned their head...honked their horn or nothing. Wasn't like I was hanging out the window acting retarded or anything...just assumed the would appreciate the gesture.

The roadster looked ok, not really into the body mods. Some look nice but some seem over the top. The '08 was the san marino blue and had pin stripes...looked ghey imo...so I still think I had the best looking one out of the three.

Anyone ever seen a Z with pin stripes they liked?

I try to wave at all Z's I see, and it's funny to see the confused faces of the ppl who don't know why I'm waving at them, yet still wave back.

 

Same here; I try to do the same, they just look at me funny. Nice colored Z you got there; I have to go and take me a drive down SOBT too one of these days.

 

well if you ever come down to texas, you'll get recongnized from me.:-P just don't honk more than 3 times or i might want to race you.lol

 

Down here if you don't already know who it is driving, 9 times out of 10 they will ignore you and/or try to speed off.

Definitely a nice color Z you have, honestly haven't seen one in person but it looks nice in the pics.

Curious, is the Brickyard very similar to the Interlagos Fire? From pictures it looks similar but I dont think pictures capture the true IF color. Mine is Interlagos.

I've never seen pin stripes on a Z I liked. Some cars look good b/c the stripes can accent the sharper body lines, however the Z doesn't have a distinct (higher) line that the stripe could accent. I dunno... never seen any offhand that I liked.

Brickyard is such a beautiful color. Interlagos Fire... I believe has more of a purple tint to it. Have never seen Interlagos within 100 feet, although I've seen many quality pictures. I personally love Brickyard though

EDIT: Whoops, I thought it was Brick also... well, that one pic really looks like a Brown... I had the opportunity to buy an Interlagos... after seeing these pics I wish I did. However, I do love PPW

 

Yes, I wish it would stay that copperish brown color all the time but unfortunately the purple comes out at different angles. I know when I seen the pictures on autotrader and the dealers website the color really was nice...but it definitely didn't capture the true color. I fell in love with it the moment I stepped out of my truck at the dealership and seen it in up close. I had never seen the color on a Z before that.

I would like to see a brickyard and a IF together...now I am curious.

I've had mixed experiences with other random Z owners next to me. Everything ranging from trying to race, honking/waving/thumbs up, or paying no attention at all. I generally try to give a nod or "Nice car!" at least if I pull up next to one.

 

What year is your car? I didn't think that color came out until 07, but you have the older style hood. Just curious. Looks great!
