i just bought my 06 last friday and it does take some getting use to..but if your doing it right you shouldnt have any problems getting it into gear...you may want to try to drive another one just to see if its the car..

If an 06 already has a shot clutch, I'd steer clear. Mine isn't a DD so I have under 20k on it. No clutch problems though. If the mileage is right for a new clutch, I'd still be weary. The dealer should fix that. What else are they not telling you? If the mileage isn't that high, it indicates that someone either didn't know how to drive the car or drove the crap out of it. Find you a better dealer and a better car imo.

Do they replace '06 oil consumption engines with 287hp ones?

No. Just a "revised" block.

Had exactly the same problem when i was doing some "spirited" driving. Your clutch is slipping. I just replaced my clutch and flywheel. No probs after that.

Dude, if you're going to try and create new users names for a fresh start, at least ditch that style of typing! Its very obvious and I'm not trying to be a dick about it.

Stop formating your post own your own. The forum will do it for you...

When you
post it
looks like
this.

Just keep your finger away from the enter button unless you're starting a new though or paragraph.

Just
stop
indenting
manually
... the forums will format for you, lol.
Considering that he didn't "indent" anything, you might want to reword your flame.

Wasn't trying to flame, just tried to show him what he was doing (since he seems absolutely oblivious to it), but I suppose I can reword my original post.

Happy now?

But with the Z, I've found you actually have to push it in the entire way. So it took a little adjusting and it doesn't happen anymore. So maybe you just didn't fully engage the clutch? Did you ask the dealer. I'm guessing someone who works there was with you when you test drove it. Did they say anything?
Really? I find that i bairly have to push mine at all and when i do push it in all the way i tend to have a long drawn out release... But i push it in maybe an 1/8 and it is just fine.

Usually, I don't have to press it all the way either. But for me at least, when I aggressively shift into third I have to make sure to fully engage the clutch. Maybe it's just my car?

I like my 06 because as soon as i bought it used , i took it in for oil consumption test and the tranny whine and i got a brand new Motor and Tranny. So i have virtually a brand new car.
