The wave worked when I had a 240. All other 240s would wave and I would wave back. It was kinda sad that I started waving in the Z and never get one back

But pretty much every 240 is owned by an "enthusiast" nowadays, so I guess we will just have to wait 15 more years and Zs will be back to enthusiast only haha

A large majority of people I wave to just stare forward and try to look the other way (pretending they don't see me). I think they're like "Oh ****. This guy wants to race... pretend you don't see him and he'll go away"

One of my favorite reactions so far was when I threw a to a Z on the highway and he looked over at me with this serious *** look and then floored it, weaving in and out of traffic like a moron. Me:

I think most Z drivers just feel they are too "cool" to wave. When I am in my Miata............all other Miata drivers wave back or wave first. Back in the 60's and 70's all all sports car drivers waved to acknowledge each other. It is hard to understand why the Z folks don't wave.

I resent that. I usually give a palm or thumbs up to a passing Z. My gripe is against the young drivers who consider themselves too cool (hip, bad, or whatever the hell the latest word is) to respond to another Z driver.

When I was in high school in the late 90's with my old Z31, peeps use to acknowledge all the times. Now, they don't care anymore. Once in a while a fellow Z'er would flash the lights and I would acknowledge.

I just did it the other day to a silverstone '03 - '05 roadster that had an INGS front end. He casually flashed back. Then again, the other day I was driving on the highway, and there was an '03 - '05 silverstone coupe in front of me. I followed him for a while, pulled up beside him to give him a thumbs up but he didn't even bother to look at me. He was probably over 40.
