i really like mine, but i'm kind of split. performance wise it rapes my friend's civic si, but gets trounced by my other friend's B5 S4. quality wise it rapes the s4, but just doesnt feel as well built as the si....

I was satisfied for about a year or so, then I started to get bored with the car. It doesn't have enough power for my taste and it requires some serious cash to improve on the hp/tq numbers. Also, being in Cali, TT wasn't an option nor did I want to build a new engine. I ended up buying a 2003 Cobra for $19k yesterday which should feed my need for power

Dear NORS: Just a quick note on reliability. "Zs" are very reliable cars. They only suffer from 3 minor glitches, which WON'T leave you stranded: 1.Power
window(s) motor(s)--either or both seem to fail at times. 2.Hatch door struts
also fail--won't hold the hatch door open for too long, so it bangs you on the
head. 3.Gas latch button has to be depressed 3 or 4 times in order to be able
to gas up--once won't cut it, most of the time. OTHERWISE, sports car-wise
it's the best bang for the buck on the market! Go for it!!!
Finally, the 'O6 edition seems to suffer from an oil-consumption issue. Watch
out for that year's issue Zed.

Love my Z... Reliable, pretty quick, and handles pretty well. Looks nice inside and out, and is pretty comfortable. I have no squeaks or rattles on my 04 Roadster with 49K miles on it. Even after I ran over a damned concrete island in a parking lot! This car is effin' solid!
It's not the perfect car for everyone though, everyone has different tastes, desires, and needs.

I liked it and still love it. Sometimes I get sick of it and that's when I start buying performance parts. I'm planning to keep it for a long time but the new 370z is hot..

I just had the perfect example of part of the reason I love this car. I went over to a friend's house for a baby shower and even though my car is a 2003 the older guys there (parents and family members of the pregnant couple) were all standing around it and looking at it. It's modified (tastefully, in my opinion) so I guess that could be part of it but the draw of the car is eternal. I swear, if I could keep this car forever I would (and hopefully I can).

I love my Z, but I'm getting sick of a 2 seater. When my lease is up next year, I'd like to get a used CLS500. I hate the feeling of riding comfortably in other's rides and then get into mine and feel cramped up. Besides that, I have no complaints though.

Love the Z.
It has a bit of a 'noise' issue with the tranny.. but other than that the car is really solid and performs really well.
I had a '91 MKII Turbo MR2 before the 350Z then it started giving me troubles (granted it had 180k+ miles on it).. but then I eventually had to get rid of her after it started becoming a money pit.
I needed something in the mean time so I just owned an '04 Tiburon..
...but I'll tell you what, I missed the MR2 like none other; and suddenly it was like I was reunited with my love once I drove the 350Z. Feeling the power pushing you from the rear wheels, the tight suspension, the beautiful head-turning lines. The car is just plain out sick. I would suggest anyone who can afford it and loves the feel of sports cars to go out and buy one (I dont care how rare or not rare my car is)
Anyhow, here are the picts of my old MR2..

oh and I thought I'd throw in an extra 2 cents in here (completely off topic)
but I thought it was funny how my neighbor who owned a vette came over with his cocky attitude, and noticed the side air vents on my car. I guess assuming it was rice, he asks me "what are those vents for? Mine cool down my brakes"
My response: "Well, one is for the intercooler and the other is the intake"
..he didnt say anything after that.

I'm happy with my z since the day I got it. Although sometimes I wish I got a 4 door or coupe, I always enjoy driving my z. This is one car I think I'm going to keep til it dies.
Previous cars were '97 turbo civic, '02 turbo celica gts, '03 evo, '05 wrx. I love the z over every one of them
