Nationwide gave me $650 2 years ago after a girl in her parents minivan rear ended my car - you could barely see the damage so I spent the money on wheels. No one has ever noticed the slight impression from her plate. That was their price for an aftermarket bumper painted and installed.

Hit and run on my insurance gets filed under uninsured motorists, and in the state of TN, they cant raise your rates for uninsured claims or comp claims. May differ from state to state.

thanks for all the advice i'm gonna go with the $275 option I think

Haha the 27 Dresses movie was rented by the gf but I was punished to watch it, luckily she hated it and it got shut off about 45 min. into the movie

As far as insurance goes, they will cover it and my rates should go uneffected but I'm calling the rates dept. just to be sure

same thing happend to me this saturday.
took the car out downtown some douche clips the front quarter panel and takes off!
wasn't able to get his plates..
will be visiting a body shop today to get a quote.

the kicker - only had the car for 8 days!!!

Idk about this, new bumper is the only way to repair, price out a body kit though, that sounds like more fun

sorry about what happened i used to be an store detective down here in miami working in the loss prevention department and we always had to save those tapes for a month and then mail them to the main store. they must have the recording of what happened to your car, good luck.

I would expect that could be repaired and re-sprayed.

I will throw out a SWAG and say $1000.00 to be good as new.
This happened to me, but in the front.

no, your insurance would not go up... just have to pay the deductible which will be less than the damage

by the way... I know for a FACT... I underwrite auto insurance.

Man that sucks dude, I've had my 06 not even a year yet and already I have 4 dents in driver side door from people that are ignorant. Appariently it doesn't matter if you park in the back of the lot like I do, you still end up with them because people literally just don't care about other people's property. If your going to park way in the back NEXT to me that's fine, but at the same time if you are ignorant enough to do it and then HIT ME, don't be a jerk and just leave and/or NOT leave a note. Just makes me want to smash faces.

Save yourself some time and money and report insurance claim, get money, and get a used aftermarket or OEM in classified section.

AKA you make money and get a new bumper. Dont think your premium will raise much if any and it will probably be worth it in the long run.
