Default Give your Z more power and better handling...

..by driving a beater! I got an '85 Honda Accord the other week from my neighbors for free so I've been driving that for the past few weeks and let my freshly Zaino'd Z sit in the garage and take a break. That Honda is incredibly slow, it has the usual Honda trait of no torque, but the carbed 1.8L doesn't have any top end either. The handling isn't terrible, but the worn out springs/struts and 13 inch wheels don't help things out.
I got my Z out the other day since it was nice and it felt incredible! It felt exceptionally quick, the shifter was so precise, the handling was great, even the stereo sounded better. After driving something so mundane for a while it really makes you appreciate having a car like the Z. When I was using the Z as a daily driver I just got used to it and it didn't really seem special anymore, but now that it is just a toy it just seems to be much more of a pleasure to drive.

Hmmm. Maybe I'll borrow hubby's recently purchased Ford Escort (his beater) to make my car seem faster and better handing. Who needs that S-Tune set up anyway! lol

Ha! I should be really happy when I get mine then! I used to mow my grandma's yard for her. About .75 acres on a riding mower...ANY car feels smooth and fast after that!

I do a lot of travelling for work, and always end up with some atrocity of a rental car (I had a pontiac aztek a few months ago!! )
Anyway, the best thing about coming home is the moment I get in my Z and realize how wonderful it is.

Ha! I know what you mean! I used to drive an '85 Accord for a year and a half before I got the Z. I still have that car. I'm gonna miss it when a friend finally decides to take it, after paying for a new clutch, brakes and all repairs. Right now I'm not driving it because it's not insured, but the last time I drove it, the stick felt as if it was from a tractor. Sure, I enjoy the Z every time, but you appreciate it more after driving something else.
