I hope you didn't buy a Z expecting amazing MPG. They're sports cars. If it were a Prius and you get 8PMG, I'd freak out. Even so, I'd check for leaks, etc. 8 is low, but not too low for what you should be getting.

I get ~15 with my '07 AT 100% city driving. It can go up if I putt around like a grandma, but even then once in a while I open her up and ruin my mpg again.

I was getting @18 - avg speed @25mph...
Driving a little more sedately (after the speeding ticket) - getting @19.5 - avg speed 30mph after changing route to work....

By the way - my '09 Murano just averaged 25.4mpg on a trip from TX <-> NJ. Mostly highway. Mostly at 80mph
I was fairly impressed.
Better yes - it has been getting @20 in the city. That CVT is pretty interesting - and efficient...

That's strange.
I get about 27-28mpg on highway.
But in the city 15mpg/20mph average and I mostly avoid trafficlights.
Dirty air intake?
I'm not expecting amazing mpg - but it is strange (too good for highway and too bad for city).
