help me mod my Z
Whats up fellow Z owners. Im finally going to mod my Z and was hoping to get some help. I have silver 06 and im looking at getting wheels, exhaust, front lip and rear lip. pics would be awesome to get ideas and brand names. im also stuck at either gold wheels or silver. so again any help would be awesome and pics of ur rides would be appreciated. peace
I know its not on your list but Tint first. Probably the best mod you can do for 350 IMO. If your looking for a good sounding exhaust id go for a Tanabe Hyper Medallion. I personally love the sound of it. If your going for performance exhaust the HKS is probably your best bet. Good luck and welcome to the world of neverending modding of your 350z.

Tint isn't really a mod.
Take off the grille if you have one for starters, which once again isn't really a mod, lower it and get a suspension.

All that buy this and buy that crap for the Z's great. My opinion is learn to drive the car stock as best you can, and then when you can't go any faster or handle any better because your skill has surpassed the stock set up. Then and only then should you upgrade suspension, and or engine so that you actually notice a difference, and then your able to adjust to the new feel of the car instead of just jumping into a modded Z and not knowing what it was like from the get go. Thats where driving and tuning skills are learned and come into play from the experience of growing with your car not just having it out grow you and you catch up to it.
as far as pix here's my Z.....Volk Te37's Time Attacks Coming soon!

arin04, the most helpful advice you can possibly get is by spending the time doing research on the forums, by browsing through older threads, and by learning to use the search function to your advantage.
The 350z's been around for a long time, when someone comes on the forum and their first post is "help me mod my Z" it really begs the question: how serious are you?
It is far better to do your own independent research and figure this stuff out on your own than to have people tell you what THEY think is cool. Also notice you're getting some joke replies in here. Why do you think that is?
It's because a lot of new members want the easy answers just like you. The older members get tired of hearing the same questions asked every week.
It doesn't come that easy, and the faster you rush into modding your car, the more mistakes you will make and the more things you'll wish you could take back.
Just some helpful suggestions, hope you take them to heart.

wired 24/7 makes a great point it is far better just to look up old threads and draw your own conclusions. Dr Venture also made a great point and he's def right about learning to drive the car stock and getting a serious feel for it before you change anything. But, since you already put the post up, ill give u my opinion. If i was you, after awhile of drivign the car, i would start with suspension and wheels. If you plan on doing alot of work to the engine you should also consider upgrading your brakes. Going fast is great until you realize your car cant corner or stop well anymore. Everything kinda depends on your budget and what your goals are for your specific car. Dont forget to check the classifieds section on here for parts. You can get alot of quality stuff on here brand new or slightly used for much cheaper than you would on a reg website or local dealer/store

first thing you need to buy and read is this

then you need to read this thread at least three times:
https://my350z.com/forum/engine-and-drivetrain/50429-new-350z-owners-read-this-before-doing-any-modifications-to-your-z.html
once you figure all of that out, get what will work for you.

That or like the others said, get a good set of wheels, then suspension. Before you get anything though, look around at prices and see what you can afford. Sounds like you want to do alot of work, so it may help to plan before you start modding.
And as many of the other members are saying, look around the forum ALOT. Theres a ton of great info on this site you can learn from and it can save you alot of money and help you make good decisions on mods. Research research research before you get anything.

I wanted to put that kit on my car but after the Tanabe GF210's finally settled out (they've been on the car for about 2 years) I am rubbing without ground effects. Any lower and I'd be tearing pieces of the car off,
.
