As some have said everyone hated the 07 hood, then everyone realised what a performer the HR really is and now we see heaps of posts of people trading up... at the end of the day, many of you bought a Z for the performance, the better performer will always be bought... it's why people mod too... some stupid insatiable quest to be faster and faster and faster and faster. This is almost dej ja vu when the 07's did come out.

Personally, (and I'm sure there are others) performance was only 1 factor among many for why I bought the Z and I'm not really a mod freak, the car is fast enough for me so I won't be getting the 370 (soon anyway).

I'm in for the 370 after the 2nd year. But I really wish I can afford the GTR.

370Z? .... didn't even consider it. I'm sure it will be nice and will carry on the Z tradition admirably, but I'm not liking the lines that I've seen so far.

I was seriously thinking of getting the GTR but:

1) Didn't want to pay the mark-up
2) Don't like 1st production year cars even though it's been out in Japan already
3) Wasn't crazy about the GTR styling though I have recently seen the light especially the white ones...very nice
3) Really like my ZR and had always planned to keep it long term

Sooo.....I'm going with a 400 Z! GTM built and stroked plus HKS SC. Hope to get it back next Saturday and can hardly wait. I was down there today looking at my Arias pistons and all the head work they have done on the engine.

I look forward to meeting up with a 370 on the track!

So, on this thread, what is the # of people who are waiting for (or proclaiming that they will buy) the GT-R instead?!?

(I've lost count...)

edit: spacing issues

I would rather trade for the engine rather than the whole car, the new 370z has a very ugly front end IMO, i rather have them stuck with the looks of the previous models looks way nicer and much more better

i love my Z!!!

Its funny how a lot also say they arent getting the 370 because of the styling etc.. When we dont even have a official (exact) picture of one yet.

Most are photochopped assumptions by magazines or car sites etc..

A single blurry, dark , bad angle "supposedly" stolen nissan photo.

A wall mounted "covered with a sheet" half a car mockup.

And quick glimpse of a heavily camouflaged test mule

LOL I sure as hell wont be making any decisions based on anything thus far
I'll base my decision only on an official release. Lets hope LA Autoshow..

Back on topic... If I like the 370 I'll be selling my 06 ZR pvt and purchasing a 370 so no trade for me. Making payments and having a dealer violate me on a trade? No thank you...

If it's possible i'll swap engines, otherwise the 350's not going anywhere. Love the look, style, and feel of the car all around. Plus put to much $ into it so far would be a waste not to enjoy it for more years to come. Im not jumping on the BAND WAGON!

No, the new Z is ugly. Therefore, I will trade for a Camry Solara instead.

id love to have a new one. The looks will no doubt grow on me, and a newer cabin and much lighter/faster car sounds like a friggin blast. But financialy, theres no way it'll happen, so I'll keep my 08. If I had an older Z (03-05) Id would HEAVILY consider jupming into the payments though.

Would like to see actual pictures of the 370z, before I make a decision.
