Default Just got a call from

my dealer in Charleston, SC. Said my car would be in on 9/2 or 9/6, depending on which truck it was on. Thanked me for my patience and reaffirmed what I'd asked them not to do to the car when it arrived. Hope this might help anyone in the region with a car coming. Also said he'd call as soon as he has my VIN#.

If the car is coming on the dates he says he should already have the Vin. The car had to have left the factory well over 3 weeks ago and it only takes max 3 days from factory departure before Nissan has a Vin.

Ask him to print out either report KMD3210-R2 OR R3 because the Vin and ETA should both be on there.

Default I called the dealer today

and he said he saw a list with the expected arrival dates, but there were no VIN#'s on it. He said he was 100% sure there would be a # for my car. I called NNA and they said they had no idea what the # might be and that I should call the dealer. Is this some more of that old BS from NNA and the dealer? Maybe ZISME can help.

No, I think NNA is sticking to their recent policy of not giving information to the consumer that the dealer should do that. If he can't pull up the reports, which is no surprise, go and sit with them while they call your NNA regional office, they shuold be able to give the information then, don;t give up make the dealer earn his money.

Thanks. Only problem is that the dealer is 2.5 hours away. I couldn't find one that had any more slots in SC. with our $300.00 sales tax on any new car you buy. I don't think I could have stomached some of the tax amounts I've seen here.

Well, call your dealer and tell him you want a conference call with the regional office to find out the details of your order and keep on him until he gives up or figures it is easier to make the call than keep hearing from you.
