I made a post in another thread about the young drivers owning and wrecking Zs and "giving them all of the rope they want if they want to be stupid". My wipeout was definitely my lesson learned. I was 18 when it happened and am 38 now and I will live with the effects of the crash always.

148-149 in my 05 Maxima. I was on the Autobahn and had forever to pin the go peddle. It was pretty sad how long it took to get there from 130. In the process I was by an Audi wagon...those things are no joke.

148 in my 2004 350Z while leaving a Ford F150 Lightning in the dust. It wasn't scary, just intense because of how neutral the steering felt. I expected it to be little heavier. My main worry at these speeds is tire failure.

I always ride like everyone is trying to kill me.

lol I just noticed this. If I were to ride a motorcycle and was under the assumption that everyone was out to kill me, I would be slow and cautious. with a name like "kneedragger" I wouldn't think you are moving slow and cautious. haha

Slow, never! Alert and responsive. You have to anticipate what cars within 100 ft from you will do next. You always have to look around. After riding for about 3 yrs, your level of awareness increases. You tend to see potential hazards way before it happens. Anticipation gives you time to analyze, and react to a situation. Going slow in a bike can kill you. Specially here in Cali, where everyone drives 10-15mph over the speed limit.

mig-21 is owned by a collector, the pilot took of and landed while I sat in the trainee's seat and maneuvered around in the air. only bad thing about that mig-21 was it was still being restored so some of the intrusments were out of order, pilot had to do a vfr landing. Took of at an airpark, guy keeps his c172 and his mig21 in his hangar
Haha. Got both of you beat. F-16 Fighting Falcon, incentive flight (I'm in the Air Force) probably somewhere between 1700-2000 mph.

But on land, my Z 155 MPH on a downhill in New Mexico I wanted soo much more. And on a Kawasaki Concours (1000cc) 130 MPH, I was thinking for a while to myself and once it hit 130 mph I started yelling at the bike. Good times. Thing was ***** *** slow up top but could hang from a dig really well. Beat a couple 600's with newer riders.

Right. A good rule of thumb I follow is to stay at least 5-10 mph ahead of traffic speeds. Because if you're taking it slow then there's more BMW and F-150 owners who take advantage of you and cut you off etc.
