210mph on a 2000 ZX12. One time. Never did it again. And to be honest, that's what the speedo said,... Granted at the time I was stupid enough to glance down. And I realize there has to be some varience in there because of the speedo accuracy at that speed.
And I had the '03 Z pegged at 156, thanks to that limiter.

On an open FM road near Corpus Christi TX, NO traffic in site road smooth as babies *** She felt really grounded compared to friends G without the full aero kit. Actually just after pic (actually video but snapshot taken from) looked at the (2) GPS in car and both stated 160 FTW

Just to be poking, nothing intended, but there's a radar, that is useless at this point, and there isn't much gas in the tank, which is a no no in my book because of the light rear ends in these cars. But as far as the VDC being off, wouldn't that cause the car to be harder to control of you went into a spin at this speed. Course,... I guess it wouldn't matter! LOL
LMAO @ radar/VDC, you got a point! As far as a light rear end, yes in a Z but a G has a bit more lbs in the A** + I have a custom made 5/16 enclosure with 5/16 plexiglass containing a 30lb Anniversary edition W7 which is located not in full trunk like most but just behind seat where a lot of frame cutting went on so the sub is actually just under custom deck with a port that way all the pressure is in-cabin & not in trunk vibrating the S**T out of it lol! Oh, + (2) amps mounted in place of spare. So anyhow, guess that might make up for a little bit of missing fuel/lbs .... Either way she was as smooth as butter @ 160, not scary at all

Now 159 when the governor kicks in is scary as hell. I still wanna go faster though. lol.
Did 120 a few weeks ago with the convertible top down. Holy S**t that feels a lot faster.

A lot of people are really scared going only 120??? Scared of being pulled over or just scared as in your car could break type a thing?? I was going 120 half of my trip to Vegas from Cali, seemed like every car wanted to race. The adrenaline helps keep me awake on the long drive though.

Somewhere north of 160 in my Mazdaspeed 3. I figure it was probably around 165, speedo gradations stop at 160. It was still pulling strong, figure i could get it up to the limiter in 6th if had enough of a stretch.

Where the hell do you guys drive that you can even reach these speeds? I got up to 120 on the highway once or twice, but there's always traffic sooner or later. And also I'm afraid of getting pulled over. What would even happen if you got pulled over going that fast?
120 Felt pretty quick, but I want to go faster.

Had the Z up to 150 late last night, was just about to go into 6th. Had to bring it back down though because track time was almost over. Still felt like it had a lot left in it.

The fastest I have ever been on the street was about 105, and that was unintentionally when I was following a coworker on a on-ramp at 2:00 AM driving my 2004 Subaru STi. I knew I was accelerating quickly, but I was only at about 3/4 throttle. I backed it down as soon as I realized I was going that fast.
I have driven faster than that in several cars on race tracks, the fastest being somewhere in the 135-140ish range in either a friends 2006 STi or a heavily modified 2003 WRX at either the end of the front straight at Lime Rock or at the end of the back straight at Mosport. I'm sure eventually I'll go faster in my 350z, but I wasn't at the limit of what the car would do in the last corner coming onto the front straight at the one track day I did at Lime Rock in it last year.
I don't find 135 MPH in a straight line nearly as interesting as the corners at the end of those straights.
