I have been reading a smattering of posts where people ordered early like me and now are looking to- oct. for our package of joy.I must say I was quite disappointed when my dealer said "you where the first order right?,well 4 cars after you have vins and looks like a late oct.delivery date."I ordered feb 16.,west central florida, brickyard performance with a (w) tracking number.Who else has this same problem and when and where did you order??MISERY LOVES COMPANY

Cool Oct. Delivery date???

Ordered on Feb. 26, received an S # only after calling NNA.

Was told today by the dealer that I would get the car either the last week in Sept., or early Oct.

Still, no VIN number. If we figure delivery 4-5 weeks after VIN, time is running out

Silverstone 6 speed with everything but NAV and Aero.

nblancha what do you mean?"had an R tracking number"Did your tracking number change? This would definetly seem fishy to me.You should have nna investigate the old number if it has changed!

I pre-ordered in June, only a week before the cutoff date. I was told October. I ordered a Lemans Sunset Enthusiast from Lou Fusz in St Louis. The sales manager said they expect their first cars in about a week to 10 days.

Sorry Barnacleboy, I got you beat.

I ordered on Feb 14, but my dealer sat on it till april. I also got a T order number. So I went from, "August" to "September" to "August, I don't know, I guess production got delayed". I love dealers!!

I ordered Feb 2nd, was probably 6th at the dealer, and currently expect delivery in Oct. I don't know what my tracking number is, but the dealer showed me his delivery schedule, and I could see that there were some people with Sept deliveries, some with October Deliveries, and one poor bastard with a November delivery. I don't know if the sequence of Deliveries had anything to do with the sequence of the orders, or some other factor like the type of car or the options. Maybe Nissan made batches of each type, so that a bunch of Tracks came off the line first, then some base models, then Enthusiasts, etc.

I'm not expecting a miracle, I just want mine before the end of the year. However, as I get closer and closer to the delivery date, I can't help but get more and more exicted as well as more and more paranoid that something is going to go wrong.

Keep the faith!

Default Hmmmmm.......

Well, hope this doesn't upset anyone too much, but I ordered my Z in late July and was assured that I would recieve the car sometime in October? Only reason I would trust this is because my family has been buying Nissans from this dealership for years (Long Island) and they have always been honest and given us the best service. Ofcourse, nothing is written in stone, so i could be waiting much longer. According to the sales manager (who had just sold my father a pathfinder) said that they were given two allotments of 7 cars. The first 7 were spoken for by January/February then they recieved another allotment (which is where I hopped on board). Orders after this 2nd allotment will not come in until 2003. For those of you who have been waiting since the beginning I give you a lot of credit and if I get my car around the same time you do, I will honestly feel a little guilty- at the same time, I hope that what my dealer told me is accurate.

I also have a W order number and they are saying late Oct to Nov delivery. I guess I'll be ok as long as I sell my motorcycle first!

Preorder cutoff was June 17th, so you either got a car that someone back out of or a car ordered by dealer for himself, or worst case scenario you don't have an order yet and will be sent in in Sep when the dealers are allowed to order cars again but not part of the preorder, that is over. Ask him for an order number and see what he says.
