If i were to put midgrade gas instead of premium, will it cause my car to lag(lose performance)?

IBTL

i'm gonna predict the replies on this one:

-"if you can't afford to pay for gas, maybe you shouldn't drive a Z"

-"it's only and extra $X.XX if you were to use supreme, why risk it"

The engine will knock and you run the risk of blowing your engine. If that's the risk you want to take to save a few bucks at the pump than go for it.

Check your manual -- it's all covered in there.

Noticed a difference?

There's a guy that just started a new thread complaining about engine trouble after filling up with midgrade gas.

Because a few dollars extra is a big hit, right?

Read up on compression ratios, detonation, and octane. Come back here after you read.

MY Nissan owners manual says in the mountain states: AZ., NM, Co, Ut, Wy. NV, states we can run 85 0ctane gas, if nec. I chooses to run 91, there is less than $2.50 per tankful in price differrence. Why are you listening to people here when:
A. you could have done a search, we have this thread about every 3 months
B. read you owners manual

C.if you can't afford the gas, maybe you can't afford a Z
