It is sad that you have to be approved to bid or even view the damn auction. Why would they do that? They send out an e-mail about this auction for charity to everyone who has already pre-ordered a z. What is the point? Only for the rich folk who can use it as a tax write off.
whatever just my 2 cents.

I may be wrong, but I think that tax write off is only good if you do not recieve goods or services in return for your donation. In this case you would be getting a car so it might not be a write off unless you can deduct the amount above the retail price.

) who put in bids they never intended to follow through with. It's a little embarassing to have the car's bid up to $120,000, find out that the high bidder has no money, and then need to take a lesser bid (with a little egg on the face at the same time).
I think it's smart of Nissan to pre-approve any bidders. After all, they did the same thing with each of the pre-order candidates, right? (At least that's the word I heard -- all pre-order folks were credit screened prior to their orders going in.)
