for everyone giving me crap, i did quite a bit of research on these cars but hearing personal experience and opinions is very helpful. Only about 2 people have done that for me. Myself and my family have always bought expensive german cars, I have ZERO hands on experience with Japanese cars.

After all those expensive german cars...why would you want to downgrade to cheaper, better engineered, way more reliable and cooler japanese sports cars?
Kidding...anyway what you are getting on this forum is a common response from a million members who have had the same questions asked...well...a million times. It comes in different forms...(Should I buy this or that? What is the difference between this model and that?)
As a general rule...people on this forum love Z's. They will tell you to buy one unless you make inane posts...at which point they will conclude that you shouldn't be part of the Z community. All of a sudden the thread will be filled with confusing pictures of cats with bad grammar.
As for the models...touring...grand touring...base...just do some reading. They differ from year to year...so for us to reproduce that would be ridiculous. You speak of Z's being upgradeable...yes there is a lot of aftermarket support for this car. You can get as deep in as you want. Please be aware that making extra power is rarely cheap...and simple bolt ons won't net you too much with the Z. Glad you are thinking about joining the scene...and if after reading and familiarizing yourself with the car you find you have some unanswered questions...then this forum should be glad to help.

Goddamn Subways are trying to keep up with Quiznos, with those terrible "ovens".
Getting tired of eating my spicy italian sandwiches with dehydrated bread.
Subway ovens FTL.

Yeah don't worry about all these guys, they do it to everyone any chance they get. I think they have been around so long, and asked the same questions so many times, that they forgot their are still new people buying a Z everyday, searching the internet for a forum. They don't realize people want a response from a human rather than a list of specs and reviews.
Anyways, in my search I found a great comparison website for the different trims of Z's (Touring, Track, etc) http://www.carsdirect.com/research/s...91A0&year=2005
This page compares the trims very well down to the last detail I am a new Z owner and new to community so my personal advice would not be very helpful to you. So far I have had an overall good experience with my Z. It's as fast and fun to drive as everyone says. Only thing thats happened with mine is my rear view mirror popped off and took a chunch of the windshield with it. I hear this is very uncommon for the z (and any car for that matter), but its a cheap fix (Dealer is taking care of it). If you have some more questions, PM me, I have done lots of research on the car before and since I purchased it and can answer most general questions.
