I also noticed that the road, South Gate Road, if taken back down from the summit connects with Blackhawk Road in Danville. Is that anywhere near the Blackhawk museum? We could wind things up there. Nice big parking lot and food places if so desired.

Anyways, Blackhawk Road does eventually end up by BlackHawk country club which is pretty close by the Blackhawk museum. I try to find out more route information.

 

Actually I've never been to Mt. Diablo, I'm just looking at different maps and discoverying this stuff. It's confirmed, Blackhawk Road ends right at the Blackhawk Plaza/Museum.

Also, if you guys have two-way radios, bring them. They do become pretty handy.
