Default Dealership Issues?

I have had my 2005 Z for just over a couple of months and have visited my local dealership 3 times since I bought the car. It seems that each time I read the posts in the forums there are a lot of negative posts regarding dealerships or as many of you refer to as...stealerships. I am very happy to point out that I've not had any issues with my local dealership...as a matter of fact, they've been really great. Today was a good example. After purchasing the car back in May, I submitted all of the extended warranty transfer paperwork (with the exception of the maintenance records) to Nissan USA. I received all of the paperwork back just last week with a letter attached stating that I would need to obtain a "Vehicle Inspection Report" from the dealership at my expense before they would process the transfer of the extended warranty. I visited my local dealership (Clear Lake Nissan) this afternoon and the Service Advisor (Shane) that I spoke to reviewed all of the documents, asked for my keys, and then asked me to have a seat and that he would be done with it an a few minutes. About 20 minutes later he had my car just outside the service doors and handed me the necessary documents for the transfer of the extended warranty. I was pulling out my wallet to take care of the bill when he looked over at me and told me not to worry about it and that it was no charge. This was my 3rd awesome visit to these guys...they've earned my business for sure. If any of you guys live down south of Houston, check them out. Let me know how it goes.

Sounds like it was a good deal for you, that's good man. I've had a lot of experiences with dealerships. Many bad, few good, so i'm not really trustworthy.

Alot of people hate the dealership they get their cars from but buy because price and not service. I, however, look for both. I got a great deal at Anchor Subaru; yes, an offbrand dealership. They traded me excellent, took car of my car, and I would recommend anyone to go there.

Sounds like you had a great visit and it's good to know some dealerships are actually doing their job with both sales and service.
