I'm coming from an Acura but my heart was always with Nissan i've owned a 94 Maxima as well as white 93 240sx hatch... Granted the Acura was a great car and didnt let me down once i just felt like my Nissan's were bullet proof. I had the choice this past winter to buy a STI or an Evo or a A4 and when puch came to shove the Z fit my needs the best.. If i want a 4 people in my car i really don't need 400HP, that just means 3 more people might get hurt(joking)!

I too agree with what you've said. I have to say though that when the Z33 came out I was not impress nor excited but as time goes on the car grew on me. Grew on me so much that I went out and got one myself 4 days ago.
It was a hard choice between the Z, an 04 Audi S4 and Subaru Legacy GT. I think persoanlly it was best(and most natrual) choice seeing as I cant seem to get away from Nissans.

I think the biggest reason why Z get hated on is that they are so good from the factory. People feel that you've cheated the system by spending a little more initially instead of "working/modding" for it.
Its seems like the haters are the kind of kids that like to mod constantly, gives them something to talk about and a sense of accomplishment, spending all their money "polishing a turd" if you will. A dooker is still a dooker no matter how fast it flies out your A$$.

you mean HR?...and yes the HR is a better stronger, more powerful of the Z motors right now (stock for stock).
good to hear someone appreciates us. I hug myself every night for buying the Z, even though I wish it was a 6spd....I get over that when I see 14,000 on the odometer, and a super low payment.

Nice wright up, sums up why I bought the car as well. I came from owning 2 preludes. To get what I wanted, I would have had to go FI, plus the auto tranny on the 01 lude I had was a flawed design, and started to make "funny" noises. The Z has a great balance of speed, style, and reliability, and also a great platform if you do want to go FI.

nice review, its absolutely unbelievable how many people hate the Z, i have never had a car get so much attention positive or negative, even with my S2000, The Z33 is definitely a legend in the fact that it will always be remembered as THE comeback car.

Yeah, but Z's also get hated on because 350Z fanboys are some of the fawking WORST fanboys out there. Not that I dont love my car and that there arn't hella cool people who also own Z's but i think we all know the type.
