I am sorry to hear all these comments about how a lot of people hate your Z's. For me its quiet the opposite. Whenever I am on the road, most of the weekends people follow me and take pictures of the Z and give me a thumbs up. I have gotten nothing but compliments from everyone. People even start talking to me on a red stop light and make positive comments. I have never met someone talking trash about my 350Z or any other 350Z and I hope it stays that way!

It's called reciprocating attitude. It mirrors the hate on this forum in regards to other brands as well. Not everyone does it, but just enough to to get the ball rolling.

at the beginning of the thread, you mentioned a 350z can beat a mustang stock for stock, curious as to what you mean by that?

hello everyone...now I'm not a Z owner, but I have a friend that is and have met others that are... I was forwarded a link to this thread based off a conversation we were having a few days ago. I'll probably get flamed after this post, but just thought I'd throw in my 2c that doesn't really matter either way.

Fist off, I've been a long time owner/driver of domestic cars. First car was a '79 mustang, POS but it was free. then on to GM's, 89 camaro, 94 formula firebird, 97 blazer (for gas) now have '00 LS1 formula, '79 corvette, and 06 cobalt ss. (Again for gas) But even thought I PREFER domestic, I can still appreciate any car that looks nice and or performs, reguardless of the manufacturer.

With that said, after reading the first post, I do agree and disagree w/some things said. The 350z is a nice car and does pick up nicely....but to say that others "hate" because Z owners made a better decision, is a complete ignorate opionion. Usually people that hate, have no reason other then they think they're better....that's it. Like I said, I know people who own Z's and a lot of what people think of them is based on how they act...about their car. I believe it was mentioned as "FANBOYS" the kind of owner that thinks the Z is "IT" of all cars and that all cars should be measured up to them like the Z is the gold standard. Again I have nothing against the Z personaly, I actually really like the car. But I don't think for one second that it's the best of the best. I constantly get stats, numbers, figures, and multiple "other driver" kill stories from my frineds who think that translats to them and their Z!! I just laugh at the thought that because of what some one else did....that means they can too!! Hilarious.

After reading some of the replies, you can almost tell that people aren't hating on the car itself, but maybe the drivers attitude about their car. A few have posted that they've never been "hated" on, but rather complimented....and that's from drivers of sounds like all kinds of different cars. So I don't think anyone believes Z owners made a better choice of car, cause everyone has different tastes.

Just to clear up, I'm not hating on the Z, I like how they look and perform, but doesn't mean I should get one. The car I'd like is the corvette ZR1, and that's why it's all about preference. Any car can be beat, regardless of what it is. For those that hate a car for a car...that's just dumb.

I knew I had done something right when I took the mechanic who helped me put my Helix Test pipes on for a ride. He does performance work on the cars in my small city. During our ride he loved how quick it was, and how well it handled, and what little I had done to it. He told me he had a greater appreciation for the Z after the ride, especially because all he ever seems to get in his shop are older Vettes and kids Honda's.

I'd much rather have a Vette or a GTR if I could afford it, but for now, I love my Z. I appreciate a well built Mustang as much as any other vehicle, but the Z is the car I chose because it speaks to me on a personal level others don't. Nice review, not completely unbiased, but I get the point that there are those closed minded people out there who hate on our cars simply because of what it is, or because of what their car isn't.

For the poster above, you make a good point, that applies to all but SRT-4 owners. Those guys are just douches across the board it seems.

im sick of hearing about the Z's interior. It's a GOD DAMN SPORTS CAR!!!! not a luxury sedan, so the interior is made to par of what a sports car should be...simple and easy to use/view. what kind of interior do they want out of a sports car? If they've ever got into a mclaren/saleen/konigseg/bugatti, they would understand.

I agree ive driven top of the line chevy's fords and the Z's interior is my favorite so far. I think its really nice for a sports car i dont see what the big deal is. The only thing i could do without is the window control cover's paint is terrible i wish it was a little better other then that i love it.

The interior is not bad at all. I love it....especially the simplicity.

People expect the Z to have a better interior because of how it's shaped. It looks a little more expensive than it really is, so the interior should follow suit.

People also expect our Z's to be ultra lite because it's two-seater.

Same with Vettes. Being the top of the line Chevy sportscar, people expect the interior to be better than it is.

Does it have to be??? Hell no...
I don't care that John Doe Jr. think's his Volkswagen GTi interior is better.
There are trade-offs for having an affordable car with a nice motor and drivetrain.

i agree with most everybody on here. i think for me, the thing that really ticks me off is when someone with an economy car bags on a sports car. whether it be a vette, Z, or even an evo.

if you have a honda accord, or a mitsubishi galant that you put a body kit and muffler on, (that is THE definition of rice btw, an economy car made to look like a sporty car) dont tell me what areas my car lacks in. its just retarded.

IMO, you hit the nail on the head with that statement above. And of course with a base price less then $30K one cant expect to have gold everywhere. Keep the costs down in the cockpit, functional but not pricey, put the money in the engine and suspension.

I love my Z, all my hard work and sweat paid off when I drove her off of the dealership lot. Since then I too have only gotten compliments, even my best buddy admitted it's nice, when I took him for a drive the day I got it, and he's a huge domestics fan boy to say the least. Pulling up to a gas station or to a friends house and everyone just notices the car and stares at you while getting out of it, it's a good feeling. The Z has a presence on the road, you can't deny that, it's an eye catcher. The only gripe I have with it is the top interior fabric shouldve been black to match the rest of the interior, not a dull grey. As for the ricers who drive by and give me that look, LOL I don't care about them or what they think.

I've never gotten a negative comment about my Z. Many positive ones. Don't understand where all this is coming from.

I just joined and thats all ive been seeing. "I don't own a 350Z, in fact I own the opposite of what a 350Z is".and this big gay fail one here "Hey guys, cruise this forum from time to time, and my friends and I got to talking (as well as some other forums) about the 350z and the 'negative' aura that surrounds it." quit jocking our chit and get a life!
