Please exercise great caution if you are considering "buying" someone else's Z order or "place in line".
Nissan has learned that some people are trying to sell their Z "order" or "place in line" on the internet. Be careful. The dealer, not Nissan, is party to any customer orders which may have been made; and the dealer controls the vehicle until actually sold and delivered to the customer. Before you "buy" an existing order or "place in line", please check with the dealer who took the order. Dealer sales orders may not be transferable to other customers. Also, dealer orders cannot usually be transferred between dealers because each dealer has been assigned his own limited number of vehicles to sell.
Contrary to what may have appeared on the internet, most pre-sale orders cannot be changed (color, trim, options, etc.) because the orders have already been sent to the factory. Delivery dates are not firm, and are governed by when the actual vehicle is produced, arrives in the United States and is then shipped to the dealer. Therefore, no one can assure you of when a Z will be available unless it is already at the dealership. Please exercise caution regarding representations to the contrary which may be made on the internet.
Nissan wants you to be thrilled with the new Z, and pleased with your purchase experience. Please buy directly from a Nissan dealer to avoid these risks. A Nissan dealer is in the best position to assure delivery of a new Z to you.
