what if i velcro tape a beach umbrella to the roof?i know it stinks the car up but i always have the windows down and never have the ac on while im smoking thats about as far as ill go to prevent car from smelling and always have air freshners.because i have no ashtray theres no place to leave ashes and butts to stay in car at all which helps with smell isue

only reason i don smoke in my Z is bc 1st, it doesnt have sunroof. sunroof is great for flicking ashes. and flicking the cig when its done. if u ash in on the window, the askes aways goes in the back seat (in our case, to the trunk).
also my Z smells like new leather so i don smoke just yet!! only smoke when i arrive at my destination or at like a gas station.
oh yea, by the way, how are the gas prices? here in philly gas is $3.90 and damn...to top ma tank it costs me $62....how about you guys?

I'm surprised no one has seen this. If you put up the windows and turn on the front defrost, it acts as a vacuum and pulls the smoke out right out the dash. Not sure where it goes though? Is there a cabin filter anywhere in the Z?

Works for me. Now, if my driver window motor didn't quit it would be even better.

Once a car smells like cigarettes it will never smell the same again. I smoked like a chimney in my Volvo to the point that it was embarrassing to have anyone else ride in it. I have never smoked a cigarette in the Z. I usually smoke one before I get in it and right after I get out of it. Gives me a chance to stare at my car in admiration.

hahaha

me 3!!!

I only smoke in my z if I'm going on a long drive and have no time to stop.

other than that I'll pull over get out, smoke, admire my car, then get back in a drive to my destination and I never ever smoke in my car when its raining, 1 you get soaked and 2 the ashes get all over the side of the car then your car looks like poo poo

I smoke occasionally, but I'd never do it in the car.

Simple solution:
Don't smoke in the car.

A few times I've been stuck in bumper to bumper traffic and pulled over on the side of the highway to smoke a cigarette.

you guys obviously didn't grew up with Asian people that smoke everywhere. Here's a trick that I learned about smoking cigs in the car. You lowered the window just a tad bit, about 1/4 of an inch. And when you try to ash it, you bring the burning end of the cig close to the 1/4 gap that you opened, but not completely out the gap. The air escaping will work like a vacuum, pulling all the exhaled smoke and ash out of the window. It works the best when the car is moving at about 40 mph or higher.

i was never able to bring myself to that point, i refuse to smoke in the z.

not only does it maintain a clean smell, it also reduces the amount of cigs you smoke! great...

i know exactly what you mean. you might want to use rain X and not use your wipers when smoking. that way the wipers dont push the water off the sides.

That keeps the ash out of your car, but no one notices the ash anyway. It's the smell that kills it.

You already got the stank. You smoke. Ain't like you can hide from smelling like really bad BBQ. You might be able to protect the Z from that smell but it's unlikely because you get in it after smoking.
