Last Day With the Z

Also I'm getting a 89 240 tomarrow and gonna turbo the ka24e later on next spring.
Check out my stuff I have for sale

Also I do mostly stop and go driving through town on bumpy *** roads. I know the fit is more spacious but I looked at both and it makes me feel like I'm driving a minivan, and I was going for a 3dr hatch. I would have gotten a civic if they came in hatch (new models, yes I know I could have gotten ek). I looked into both cars and IMO they are both just as safe but I was going for super cheap too. I'd spend at least 17K after tax on the fit and I spent 14k on the yaris after tax.
Anyway, I am trading the car so I can afford to get a 240 to drift in. It gets a bit expensive to drift in a z. I am going to college and working full time and In the end I relized I couldn't drift if I just had the z. This way if my 240 brakes I still can get to work and school. Also I'm gonna get a z, probally a hr, in a coupple of years once I have a good job and done with college.

I know some of you think the yaris is ugly but we each have our own opinions. It may be a little less safer than the fit cuz it's smaller and only 2.3k lbs but you can't go wrong with a 7yr 100k mile powertrain warrenty.
IMO I don't need the power so why pay more and have it. Plus in a year the 240 will be turbo and good for drifting and just taking it out to have fun.
this doesn't look to bad to me, and it looks better in white:

OP: downgrade to a Yaris man? Come on.

Save us the eye soar, please. You might as well get a smart car.

Keep the Z and take public transportation or something. Least then you can hold on to your dignity. Going from a Z to a Yaris is like goin from RICHES 2 RAGS...

lol... I don't get how public transportation is any better. I did get 23 mpg average when i drove at 1.8k rpms. It wan't fun driving the z any more for a dd. If I had a job making 30k a year then it's fine but it was either don't drift or get a dd and a 240. Obviously I care more about my future than looking like a cool dude just cuz I have a z. Plus I'm only 21 so I have pleny of time to get a z in the future.
I don't see how the corolla is any better. I love the yaris it reminds me of a panda, and nothing is cooler than a panda.

lol... i already have the yaris, used 07 auto base white 16k w/ 7yr or 100k mile warrenty... it's beautiful except a few stains on the front seats and armrest. I'm replacing them for bride seats anyway. Getting the 240 tomarrow and i'll have pics up so you can all make fun of me.
That's harsh man.
We were spending 700 / month on gas for the wife's Magnum R/T. (yeah, it's got a hemi.)
We bought her an 06 Scion tC, but her Magnum is still parked in the garage. We love that car and just drive it a lot less now.( That reminds me, I still need a trickle charger for that thing.)
The scion gets twice the mileage of "The Mothership" and is still quite fun to drive.
Good gas mileage doesn't have to be boring;
My wife's scion on the tail of the dragon.

I know you want good gas mileage but a Yaris?
Seriously.

lol... I drove all the scions and I hated them all except the tc and I didn't want a tc... the yaris just feels spacious and relaxing and fun imo... plus I don't want a tiny minivan cuz in the end that's all they are. I was gonna get an ep3 but 75 a month is better than 200 a month on insurance. Plus I get the enjoyment of building my 240 up and in the end having 300+whp and only having to spend 5k.
I hear you about the Magnum. I just got rid of my 07 Grand Cherokee SRT8. Averaged 7 mpg around town, and only 11 on the freeway. I got barely 110 miles to a 20 gallon tank. And that was light footed. I bought and 08 G35S, fell in love and am now buying a Z. It's nice to get over 23 on the freeway.
That Scion sounds fun. And congrats on being an adult about your Z. Not many men your age would have the forethought to scale back and invest in your future rather than a car...
