Hahaha they're just hating on your ride man. Today I was pulling into work and a lot of people I work with were outside. When I was parking I guess I had turned too wide and I had to go in reverse to adjust my car. Anyway, when I got out one of my friends told me that they were saying, "He can't even park his car" or "Here comes Mr. Cool Guy" and so on. I'm in the military so you have nothing but haters here.

The way I take it is that they are jealous because my wife is freakin hot and they know it, my 2 year old daughter is adorable and they know it and I have a smooth ride and they know. Pretty much, if people are talking **** about you and you have done nothing wrong to them, odds are that they are jealous. So I kinda take it as a compliment!

Me too. I took this honey out last week and when driving home she said, "I love the sound of your engine." The kind of girl that says something like that might be a keeper

My copilot did ask me one day if it had a 4cyl. I almost b*tch slapped him I was like, dude you've been in my car. Does it sound or feel like a 4cyl? He's not the "carbuff" so I let it slide.

But its ok cause the amount of compliments totally outweigh the neg's.

 

Its jealousy, my friends do the same sh*t with me, n my Z is superior to theres (I305spd,two turbo volvos,stock Si,Jetta). They tell me straight up they do it cuz it makes them feel better about their cars lol(dont care cuz I love my car n I KNOW it's better than theres). My friends with equal cars (g35c,modded rsx-s,S2K,e46M3)give me nothing but compliments cuz they don't feel the need to make fun of my car to make them feel good bout theirs'. Also maybe it's cuz your Z is a DB which is the color most girls get (know two with DB Z). No need for bodykits and Def no huge wing. I like the clean look too, maybe a factory rear lip, more aggressive wheels, slight drop will help it look less "girly". Oh and if you have the mudguards get rid of it unless you like how it looks (thought it took away from the nice lines, kept the front tho). I just put in my wheel spacers and that alone made a huge difference. Sorry for the long post but im in the same position

I wanted most any color of Z but Silver. I really liked the Redline, Yellow, White or whatever the Orange color is called. I've had a Black car and it looks great, but only just after it has been washed and dried. I did try to make a deal on a DB and thought the car looked just fine. I ended up with a Silver Z because I got a good deal on it ('06 GT Coupe with 21k miles for $20k). It has the factory spoiler which I like because it looks good and more importantly is functional. It also has the mud guards which I like since it helps save the paint. Spacers would just move the tires out farther to through more crap against the side of the car wouldn't they?

The Z is interesting. From some angles, it looks like an Altima and rather boring. From other angles it looks great. Most important, I just like the way it drives and my opinion is really the only one that counts when it comes to my car don't you think?

 

When I was searching for my Z I test drove one and the guy selling said it
was his wife's, so I asked what he drives and he showed me two custom
choppers and lowrider dualie and said the Z was too much of a chicks car
for him. All depends on who you talk to man, didn't stop me from getting
one, on the other hand I didn't buy that one lol.

 

every car is a chicks car. I doubt there's a car model that isn't owned by a female.

I don't understand the concern. People are always going "OMG, is MY car a chick car?" who cares. if it is a chick car, then chicks like it...maybe chicks will talk to your lonely ***. Or would you rather have a "MAN's car" which men like...I dunno bout you but I'd rather have girls hitting on me due to my car, then men hitting on me.....

I remember when I was in HS, and college I owned Miata's most of the time, and all of my buds w/ LS1's and rustangs would call my car a chick car...they were right. Everytime someone brought a girl up there to check out all the cars, the only one they wanted to "Go around the block" in was mine. Chick cars have gotten me in a lot of trouble, but even more fun.

 

I don't own a Z yet, but it will be my next purchase.

I currently own a 2000 Eclipse GS. I've kept the mods tasteful, nothing ricey. I get some haters calling it a girls car, but I've learned to ignore them, because 99% of the time they drive a piece of crap.

Just last night, I was at a football game, stuck in traffic trying to get out, some girl walking by said "I absolutely love your car. It's hot!"

So moral of the story: Ignore the haters.

Anyway, girls usually like nice car.....Porsche, 350Z, Benz SLK, BMW Z4, etc. Guys cars, most of them, in my opinion aren't quite that nice.....Hummer, Trucks, BMW 5&7 series, Magnum, Challenger, may be Evo & STi? I mean, they nice in a different way.....like edgy, angular (except for the Corvette & Viper) and muscular.

When you drive your Z, you rather have compliment from girls or from guys? If lots of girls compliment it, there's no hurting calling Z a girls car......right?

 

The only complaint I ever get is on the door handle. I don't get that worked up because I am not a huge fan of it.

 

Its just haters...Thats all...If you don't have a few haters from time to time then your not doing something right.........It'll pretty much always be like that too..whether it be a car or a girl,your house,ect...... Don't worry bout it

 

Me either. Would it have been so difficult to have it match the body color? Nothing else on my exterior came silver except the dang handles. Makes no sense IMO!

 

How, or why would you care what someone else thinks?
Who do you live your life for? Seriously, the Z is not for you.
