You're all full of strawman insults, but have yet to refute the claim made. Keep slinging then, I guess.

Sadly, most Vette owners are old people.

That I can agree with. But, we'll all be around that age some day.

I'll take my Vette with old guy image and lower insurance rates.

based on what? your personal opinion? and please do not throw out bench racing numbers or say "the 300ZX is a TT, it must be faster" line because that is not the case. in all categories, the 350Z outperforms the 300ZX, hands down.

no matter what age i am...i'll never buy a vette!!

this is my MLC car....at 27! and its faster than a vette!

But does it really matter what 350 z is faster or not? Do you wake up with the KING and a prize each day for having the fastest z? And how are you going to compare an older dated 300zxtt to a vehicle made to bring nissan back from retirement in the 350z? the tt was out when the hype was BIG hence the TT. In todays economical world the Z's good enough for me! And making it faster is the prize!

Personal opinion? I have been in the Z clubs since 1996 and have seen what those cars can do stock vs the 350z.

I have yet to see a 350z beat a stock TT when both are stock cars. 350Z is not faster than a TwinTurbo 300ZX.

Guess all the magazines that tested the cars (350z) when it came out lied too saying the 350z isn't as fast as the old z32.

Is that the best you got? Seriously there was nothing wrong with that post. What's funny is you screwed up in your own post. Get a life kid.

I sold my 1994 300ZX Twin Turbo for my 2003 350Z Enthusiast a couple months ago. Stock for stock, its pretty close. I've seen videos of stock TT's vs. stock 350Z's and the TT outruns it by maybe a car length, two if he's lucky. The temperature effects that car A LOT, it felt like it lost 100hp on hotter days. Never raced the two side by side myself though. After I got an air filter, exhaust, ecu, and increased the boost to 15psi it turned into a completely different car, and that was only a few hundred dollars worth of parts. I don't condone this type of recklessness, but on a certain road where I liked to stretch it's legs a little, my TT would get up to between 130-140 where the 350Z now gets to about 100-105. But my 350 is bone stock, only a K&N drop-in filter. I also had a 1993 non-turbo 300ZX back in the day and that was slow as a dog. That should be the real comparison for the 350Z as I genereally don't like to compare forced induction cars to N/A because a turbo car will respond to mods much better as far as power goes. But all in all, the 350Z is a great all around car. Handling and braking don't compare, as the 300ZX is ****-poor in both those arenas. What I'm trying to say is, for what I use the car for, I don't miss the extra power my TT had, I love my 350Z! I hope this clears the air a little with the 300 vs. 350 sub-discussion in here.

Z was made for TRACKING!!!!!! you dont need a turbo for the track to do well, it's all about handling. Turbo tends to throw you to fast into the turns where you have to waste brake more in order to compensate. More power doesn't always mean better results.

for what it's worth the 350's an excellent car through out!

Personal experience. I've driven both stock and I've driven both with about $300 worth of mods. In each case, the Z32 won.

Heck I beat a TT 300 with a 99 Miata. and my Z is faster than my miata was...so....a 350 can beat a 300TT. That same 300TT got beat by a reg. 300...(it was a turd, I know.)

Driver is everything. Not to mention some cars just run better.

Case in point my SRT4 ran a 13.7 stock. w/ DA @ almost 4000ft. no other SRT4 in town could get out of the low 14's.

You lose credibility points daily!!!!!!!!!

How can you deny that losing weight off the drivetrain will not net you a higher WHP.......just like throwing heavy wheels on the car loses WHP.

Sure bolt on's may suck, but i guarantee that if you lighten the flywheel, driveshaft, wheels, crank pulley etc ( all items that induce load on the engine) you will see a higher WHP.

And to me, theres no doubt that the HR is a better motor to have over either DE. Id take one for sure.

You do NOT GAIN ANY HP OR TQ from a flywheel clutch upgrade. PROVE ME WRONG. The Mass and weight of a flywheel will make a difference in the way the car rev's up but no one notices it in the 1/4 because the car is much harder to launch now. No dynos have shown a gain period on this. This has been discussed MANY MANY TIMES for years.

Crank Pulleys do not even gain anything on this car either.
