Why does everyone assume every 06 has oil consumption problems. You never owned one. Stop assuming and reading posts on a forum. There are more 06s on the road than what you see on this forum. So the 5% of the Z's on this forum have the consumption problem. What about the other 95%?

Next question?
How much better is the 370z than the '07+ 350z.
My guess: This much +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
What I am trying to say here is this: every evolution of the engine should be better than the prev version. No doubt. IF it is worth it to you - no one here can tell you. You have to drive them and decide for yourself. For me - the dif wasn't big - so the decision was easy. Now....when the 370ZR is released....well, that may be a big enough difference to me to make the leap. Time will tell...

well, since Nissan has a TSB out on this problem i would have to say that even Nissan says there is a problem. you going to write to them and tell them they are wrong? so there is nothing to assume, it is a problem that has been identified by Nissan. they would not do this if only 5% (according to you) had this problem so please, do some research next time
Of course it would be more than 5% for them to call the recall. I just through that number out there because probably out of all the 24,635 5% of the 06 owners in the world post here. I'd say after an extensive research online that possibly 25-30% of the 06 350Z's have this problem. Far less than most people make it seem.
Now 25-30% is alot but out of a total of 24,635 cars by now most of them would have had the engines replaced as the problem occurs mostly between 1000-30k miles. So is it safe to buy a lower mileaged 06 I'd say yes.

Well I canceled my order on a 06z . I don't want to be bother with engine swaps and TSB's I do way to much driving to look into that. save up a couple of g's and get a 07+ I want a enthusiast model I live upsate I need tracking control and a LSD. I wished the base 07 came with an lsd and tcs. I don't really care for the steering wheel controls.

How about two stock members take it to the track and see which is faster in a straight? for F sakes stop arguing because of some stupid minor details. IN THE END your driving beside one another doing 35mph from light to light looking the same from car noob point of view. theres only few enthusiast that can say "wow that car is this much faster then that one oh noes!"
Regarding 370, lol dont get started on that, ugly **** look + riced out interior, although id LOVE to have the start button and a new key, but thats about it lol...
PS when 370 finaly gets out and after market parts start flowing, technicly hr parts should drop in price yay

Meh thats just my opinion.
Quick example here: roofs on the gauges, i kinda find that silly,
radio/navi from all other nissan/infiniti line up kinda over done, its nice but inside its just like any other nissan brand car.
Im still not too sure about the doors but i seem to like them, they look comfortable
The start button is a +
the seats kinds bug me, specially headrests
the console dosnt flow like it did in the 350z (its one of my things that i look into when im buying a car).
Thats about it Again, those are my opinions...

To summarize: is the 07+ 350z faster than <=06: Yes. Is the 370z faster than the 07+: Yes. Any questions?
For me - 99% of the time - I'm not road racing. Maybe 99.9%. Throttle is MAYBE at 50% at MOST if there is a traffic hole. It's my daily driver - and my daily drive if full of traffic. I do not track mine. For those of you that do - great - enjoy it.
This is yet another 'is it worth it' post that has gone on way too long. OP - drive them both - if it's worth it to you - great. If not - great. Your choice. Shouldn't let a bunch of people you have never met on an internet forum change your mind.
Good Luck

That is false. The 370z is already showing to not be any faster in 1/4 times than the 350z. The 350Z with the HR has already ran 13.1 stock which is faster than any time the 370z has published yet.
The 370z weighs more, and only puts out around 10-15more rwhp than the 350z.

it's about time someone said that.
