well i read my warranty and did a search here and Im still not too clear on this. The warranty says something to the effect that mods that cause some type of failure voids the warranty. Does this mean id be at the mercy of nissan if something happened, they could blame it on a mod and id have no recourse. Are there mods out there that specifically say they dont void the warranty? Im not looking to do anything major right now.....maybe intake, air induction, possibly headers and ecu...........maybe down the road a few years if i decide to keep it a supercharger or turbo, but i figure by them my warranty will be gone anyway......so any guidance?

there is the nismo Stune items that carry full warrenty, then theres Rtune(most of the good stuff) that is not warrentied.
as far as other mods, the law states the dealer has burden of proof that your modification caused the problem. if they can prove your mod caused the problem, your up a creek. but they have to prove it, they could hassle you, but if you take it to court, the law will win. you may have to deal with some hassle... but if the mod isnt too invasive(headers and intake should be fine, FI is not) your in the clear.

Do a search on the "Magnusson-Moss" act. Loosely, it states that the onus is on the dealer to prove that ANY mod you have caused whatever failure/malfunction in question.
