Fixed: gotcha! How long you had springs? I will not really worry about it tho, GF210's spec isn't much drop from OEM spec.

hmm soo im in iraq and i put my car up on jacks thinking that taking the weight off the suspension was better for the car been like that for three months should I get my bro to put the car back down? or just leave it now till i come home in 4 months? since i have already doen it?
You hit the nail right on the head. I bought a Z last month and the question of storing preps has been on my mind. The point is, how about the hundreds of cars sitting at the dealership parking lots?. No car covers, no jack stands, probably no fuel stabilizers, no moisture absorbers, no etc etc. And like you wrote, these cars are shipped from Japan, Korea, ...

It's that time of year for some of us unfortunate ones, so I'll bump a good, old thread.
This year, I've got wheel dollies. The Z is going to get stored in the corner of my garage once I'm done detailing her. I usually wipe down the inside with leather conditioner on the seats, I'll clean the carpets, dash, then move to the exterior where a good wash and wax will do the job. Then she goes under the cover.
I was hoping to get a chance to polish the exterior, but the weather here has turned dramatically worse. I guess I'll polish her next Spring.

I think I can say that I'm a 'pro' when it comes to storing my cars in the winter.

are those the gram lights 57s pros? my Z is also rockin' a set of those.

Havn't figures out how keeping the car on jackstands is bad for the bushings. If you were to support the car on the chassis and not on suspension components the bushings would have weight on them.
actually there is nothing wrong with starting the car every now and then. even at idle the car does get to operating temp just fine if u let it sit for a while. i don't know where people get the idea of having to drive the car for such a long period of time before it even reaches the normal operating temp. it is a good idea to change you're oil before storing but it's an even better idea to change it after storage.
Once its its "stored", leave it alone.

lol winter store z?? what is this... the z is my winter car lol... i ride my f4i most of the year when its not snowing... if ppl on bike forums saw how concerned ppl are about storing a z for the winter they would fall over and laugh lol.... cars are ment to be driven... a good set of winter tires and theres no need for wasteful storage
I'm wondering how important it is to remove the battery for the winter?
If I remove the battery and put it in my apartment, then how important is it to invest in a battery charger to charge it periodically? I really don't want to buy a battery charger. Is it sufficient to just remove the battery for the winter and keep it in a warm place?
