never...i got AT too and there is nothing to be ashamed of. If you have the heart to do anything to your Z, you can just make sure it will look nice and make sure don't let those MT lets you down....

only one of my friends harps on me for getting an AT, and he drives a tiberon, so I can easily just laugh at him.

we got the auto knowing it was *slightly* slower then the MT.. oh well! some people find driving too boring without a clutch to play with

 

when they make a transmission that allows you to stick shift or stick it into drive in the same car. none of this paddle shifting crap.

Real data when we race from a roll my 6 speed racing my buddies Auto he pulls me until I shift to 3rd and then I pull him a half a car length but I can't shake him. If we race standing still if I mess up and miss a gear he smokes me through the quarter. If we both get a good start he gets a jump then I beat him by a half a car.

It's so close the difference in minimum unlike it is for the RX-8 the 6 spd is the only way to go, the auto is a slug. But the auto Z will smoke a 6spd RX-8 with realativity ease.

Seen a Nitrous Z auto that was bad to the bone 0-60 4.7 seconds!!!!

My MT6 Z (stock) is over one second faster than my Auto Z (5/16 spacer, Intake) was in the 1/4.

 

well i drove my friends 06 AT Z and beat an 06 MT with bolt ons
while we were neck and neck with my own 06 MT Z
and i dont suck driving MT
learned to drive when i was 14 yo

If you did, you would know why members consider the AT vs MT thread a fail topic and you would also have found out that I know quite a bit about transmissions and sort of a forum expert.
So, calling me stupid when it comes to transmissions only makes you look bad especially when you can't back up or support your previous statement.

You are a prime example of why this type of thread turns into a fail more often than not.
