Someone smashed my Z while it was parked. UPDATE: PICS
I went through something similar to this. A lady (in a big suv) backed into my front left fender right above the wheel. Took the paint right off in fairly large red scales. Fender was rubbing the wheel so bad it would have cut it. I had to have it towed on a flat bed at 1am in the morning. The only good part of this accident was about 60 people witnessed it. Overall it was in the 3000 range for a new fender, head light assembly, and a few other small things. The Nissan bodyshop did a good job matching the paint.
Hey.. I know how you feel.. when I used to own my Toyota Celica GT-S... I woke up with a car on top of it.. literally. Apparently, there was a drive by on the major street that I lived on, and the car getting shot at swirved and flipped over... landing on top of my car, and on to my lawn. I'm still waiting for the results of the investigation... and it's been 2-3 years...
OMG what the hell is wrong with people these days?..
it happened to me once before too but i couldn't do anything though anyways did you break up with your gf recently? jk jk
i hope everything will turn out great..

Sorry to hear it. Hope it all works out good and in a timely manner.
My '08 GSX-R 1000 got jacked from my parking lot 10/9 while I slept, so I know what it feels like. Only had 1200 miles on her too.
People can really suck...

^^ I had three stolen bikes from apt complexes. 1 cbr600f4i and two cbr600rr's. I vowed to never get another bike until I bought a house. Now I have a house and cant afford a bike, go figure...
OP, sorry about your car. At least its getting fixed now.

Thanks for all the sympathy guys. Looks like my insurance is taking good care of me. All authentic Nissan parts will be used. Estimate is about $1800+ in damage so I'm glad I only need to pay my deductible. Only downside is my auto insurance won't cover my car cover which was torn, my homeowners might though. Anyone have any experience with a similar situation?
On a side note I won't be able to find out who it is and since the insurance company is being really good I don't see the point. Just want my car back. Looks like it's gonna be about 1-2 weeks.

As crappy as this sounds, this is the kind of senseless accident that fuels the American economy. Money for the towing company, body shop, and insurance deductible, I believe this is what George W. was thinking about when we got our stimulus checks earlier this sumer.

Sorry, it just came out I couldn't stop the comment.

Man that blows someone messing with a man's car in a malicious way or accidentally but leaving the scene is probably the worst thing i can think of, and would make me unbelievably upset. pretty sure id rater take a swift kick to the ***** instead of something like this happening or having the entire length of my car keyed or something. hope you figure out the culprit, and if not, just think how good itll look with a new fender
luckily they didnt clip your door or mess up the hood, then it would just be even more lame.

It looks like they ran directly into you!
threads like this make jesus cry....well maybe not jesus...but they sure make me sad.
