**** dude... good luck with getting everything worked out. My left fender and front bumper got messed up recently too (last friday). My sister decided it'd be a good idea to pick me up from the airport in it and didn't even make it out of the driveway (swung it wide and hit another car LOL). It's in the shop now :-/

Sorry bro. Sometimes it seems like dirt bags do this kinda crap on purpose. Everytime I park somewhere I expect to find something messed up when I come out. Stupid kids, jealous people etc...

Man im so scared sice i got my Z that some **** like this would happen, even with insurance from the dealer and full coverage along with GAP insurance, ill still be in a building looking down at my watch then literally speed walking out to my car and checking it for any dents or scratches.

Dane sux, it's sad to see your car like that, brings back some memories of my 06 Evo MR, came out of work late one night, worse part was my car was parked right outside my work! As I approach my car I'm like WTF? Somebody (i'm not gonna be bias and assume it's a woman or a man) Backed into my driver fender, kinda like your car. Only 5K miles on the odometer too! Hope you get your Z back soon!

That is far from a legitimate excuse. When I bought my car, I had to drive it off the lot from the most excruciating park job ever. It was stuffed between hundreds of cars.

The slashes are the direction of the cars, and the arrow is the way I needed to go. I had about 12 ft between the fronts of the cars in that aisle. Then when I got out of there, I had to negotiate a wall, with a blind spot from oncoming parking traffic, and go down another aisle, and repeat.
Leaving home and hitting a car is embarrassing and pathetic.

Well guys I got the car back. She's almost as good as new. The body shop did a good job matching the paint but the clear coat leaves something to be desired, swirled up to all hell. I'm not too worried as it's not a show car and I can have the whole car detailed and polished if I want. I'm just happy to be driving her.
It's official:
Nissan 350z >>> Chevy Cobalt
You heard it here first folks.

Congrats on getting your car back... I personally spent a month in a rental car (mitsubishi eclipse) while my car was in the bodyshop (coincidentally it was exactly the same damage as yours - also from being hit while parked).
Its funny to think that I thought the eclipse was gonna be pretty fun at first.

It's really not a big deal. In the scheme of things it's just a car. It's not the last car I'm going to own, it's not the first car I've owned. It's not the car of my dreams. I love it to death but it's just a car. A material possession. The car will be fine (hopefully soon!!!) and I'll be thrilled to drive it again. I know I'll have much more important things to worry about in life and much more valuable cars for people to smash (Ferrari some day).
