I don't understand why some of you crabby bastards post to threads just to say you shouldn't waste time posting to this thread. Find another thread that's worthy of your time and hang out there.

350zyuh, I understand your situation. The 350z is a beautiful car and the temptation to improve it any time you can is pretty tough to resist. Looks vs. Performance is a great question. With 400 bucks, performance is going to be minimal. I usually swing way to the side of performance, but if you don't already have a cool spoiler, that's my suggestion. My 04 touring is basically stock, because I too have limited means. I just count myself lucky to drive a car that is so much fun out of the box. After dropping in a K&N, I took about 600 bucks and went in for the nismo style spoiler (300 for the spoiler, 300 for stays associated mounting hardware). Painting and clearcoating is a pretty easy DIY. I absolutely love it and I think it really make the car stand out without being gaudy. That's my 2 cents

With $400 I'd buy a Nismo thermostat just to be different.

You could get the plenum spacer.

But

I would save it and put it towards a single or twin turbo build.

1st off, what kind of performance are you looking for? engine, suspension?
400 buck for engine might get you 2 things. a good intake, and or a spacer.
for suspension springs are probably a good way to go, or a sway kit.

i say save that 400 to pay for that ticket soon to come!

I looked at some of the vendors sites and could't really find the plenum spacer. Where can you find them?
