you can call your local nissan dealership and have them run the VIN to tell you. do you have a list of features or a link to the car?

The VIN doesn't identify models, only coupe vs roadster.

The VIN will not identify a track or any other model. ... but you should decode it anyway at http://www.etraxx.com/350z_vin.php

The track model will most noticeably have metallic orange painted Brembo brake calipers and special track wheels. The picture is what the 2003 wheels look like. I think they used these same wheels through 2005, then 2006+ models got different ones.

It will also have this stuff (which some other trim levels also have)
  • VDC button to the lower left of steering wheel
  • Cruise control on steering wheel
  • Cloth interior
  • Manual shift
  • NON-Bose stereo
  • Rear spoiler

Side airbags and navigation system were the only real options, although there were other options like floor mats, door sill trim, and some other dealer install accessory stuff.

I've got the performance. all i need is brembo's or a BBK, and i'll have a track.

well I am looking at buying a car from an auction for parts... and I want to be sure what I am getting.

its a 2005 with lots of aftermarket parts, thats why I cannot tell the original model. (stillen supercharger, lowered, cf hood, and more)

maybe you can tell from a pic?

Default Biggest key

The biggest give away would be the brembos...if they swapped in another brake kit then even better. If you are rocking the smaller "normal" brakes then it is a base or enthusiast.

the wheels look like 18" NISMO Rays to me. If they are in good condition - they might be worth over 1K. They are over 2200 new .. good luck
