Door ding in VA!
i drove down from ohio to virginia for 2 weeks on business and guess what happens? yep, someone dinged my drivers side door.
it either happened while i was parked at the hotel (i park far away from everthing) or when i went to get some groceries, that's all i can think of. it's about a 1 inch long ding on the horizontal crease of the drivers door, someone definitely hit it with a door.
anyway, it's not big at all, i'm probably the only one who's going to notice it most of the time but it's driving me nuts. can anyone tell me how i might want to go about fixing it? is it easy to pop dents out? how much do repair shops charge to do this kind of work?
also, has anyone tried applying touch-up paint to chip marks or other scratches? what's the best way to do it and where can i get the stuff?
thanks!

I'm in the same boat and have been waiting about two months now to see if anyone else was going to abuse my property. But unlike some, I have no paint left n the center of the ding. Otherwise, I would look for one of those Dent Wizard type people to pop the ding back out. I think you can find them by searching for painless (and paintless) dent removal.
I'm going to have to get the ding out and thn try to touch it up. The paint is available at Nissan for aout $2 bucks. Not sure how well it will apply to a ding though. But it has to be better than the bare metal.
Sucks doesn't it.
Good luck!!

Use Paintless Dent Removal by all means. I had three dents on the hood from a tree limb. I took the Z in for 15,000 miles service and the guy that does the dealers used cars was in. He took the dents out in about an hour and the dealer charged $65.00.
I watched him do one of the dents and it is slick.
