You cant. The vin number wont tell you which options the car came with.

Thanks guys. Here is the VIN JN1AZ34D66M306875. On the pictures it shows having steering wheel controls. But the guy says it is a Base model. That is what has me confused.

The only thing you can tell from the VIN is whether it has side airbags or not. Neither model (base, tour, enthu) nor options (Navi) can be determined from the VIN.

Check in the Top 100 Questions thread for a post on how to distinguish models.

OK, the car should be a grand touring. I am guessing that the body shop that bought the car from public auction had to rebuild the car or for some reason stripped it down to almost base level. (the stering wheel is not base)
Here is my reasoning.

The car was sold at auction, bought by the bodyshop I assume.
": 860 Ellis Street Roswell, GA 30075 VIN# JN1AZ34D66M306875 2006 NISSAN 350Z Sale will be held at 12:00 on 8/7/08 "

the 8th picture shows the car trim as "G"
http://g35driver.com/forums/cars-sal...40k-miles.html

"G" trim is shown here to be Grand touring.

You really need to do a paid carfax on this, was it a wreck ? theft? repossession that was damaged? This car likely has a history to it.
