Any Regrets to Those who OWN IT ?

The Z looks less showy in pictures, but in in person, you really notice all the subtle angles, edges and design work - it's really a beautifully sculpted car!

1. The 350z is not as economical as buying the BMW 325XI or 330XI, which were the other cars I was looking into. It's not that the BMW's look better or they are faster, but they are all wheel drive so I would not have to have a winter car in addition to my Z if I had bought one of the BMWs.
2. I think I paid to much for my Z, the dealership had all of them marked up $3000 over MSRP, and after reading what others paid here I feel like the dealership ripped me off.
3. I wish there was a sunroof option, or maybe I should have waited for the roadster but paying nearly 10k more for a droptop just isn't very appealing.
Other than that I think the Z looks alot sportier than the G35, and while I don't see hardly any G35s I've only seen about 4 or 5 Zs in my area and mine is the only red one so I get tons of looks from people on the road

Nope, sorry.
I have never received so many looks, double-takes, stares, and strangers driving up beside me and yelling how much they like my car over the traffic noise in any other car that I have either owned or driven. It's amazing how much this car turns heads.
My next-door neighbor has a G35. The first time I saw it I thought "what an ugly car". Of course, he had it parked front-first in his driveway and all I could see was the plain-jane ugly rear end.
The G is a great car. But the Z blows it away in sexiness.

To the original poster...it's all a matter of preference. The G35 is a nice car. But, don't come in here and tell a bunch of Z fanatics that our car isn't as good as a G35...geez...what were you thinking?!?!?!
the z is sexier. the g is often referred to as "classier". translation: watered down styling. if i was over 40 though i would definitely buy the g over the z. the z has more personality, but flashiness is a less desirable feature for older buyers, probably. if you post to any predominantly female message board to ask them which they prefer (styling-wise) they will overwhelmingly favor the z. so it's a better car for single guys

I noticed you live in Texas, well I'm pretty sure you don't get much snow there. Needless to say where I live my Z will be in storage for the majority of the winter, and I won't be getting to work without a 4 wheel or all wheel drive vehicle. Also if you look it up the 325XI is about the same price as a mid level 350z, granted the 330XI costs about $42,000 though

the Z has a much more radical design to it. a much more futuristic and pronounced shape. the G35 is a 4 seater!! that is hardly the definition of a sports car. the best sports cars in the world are ALWAYS 2 seaters my friend.
oh yeah. and that original poster is an idiot. coming into the forum talking sh*t about Z's. how stupid is that. maybe he's trying to start something. anyway, thats about as smart as him talking sh*t about marines and then coming to my base......haha. we wouldnt be so nice as you all on here.
if i had the luxury of switching cars anytime i am pleased I would most likely give the G35 a try without a doubt. I think that G35 has much cleaner lines, but most likely is appealing to the older crowd. The two seater is more of a refreshed look for a sports car where it brings out more desire in owners for performance tune ups. I rarely see G35 marketing anything besides rims.

when u have or ever will have the pleasure of owning both cars and going by the list of his previously owned automobiles I wouldn't even run your mouth!

I love them both. But I think the Z looks sportier and to me a bit sexier, like a little european sports car.
The G35 is great too, I see alot of girls driving the G...they are more practical than us men types.
So...I REALLY love both, but the Z just does it for me, it looks quite a bit better imho.

Yea the two-seater factor is definitely a plus for me. I really don't like driving people around so i'm happy with that. Like many have said on this board, its all about preference. Z owners shouldn't knock on the G and G owners should respect the Z. Cuz in the end we all got kick *** cars.

Actually the 325XI and the 330XI are both a better economical choice than the 350z. Let's see now I have a 03 350z & a 03 Mitsubishi Outlander LS AWD combined that's about $55,000 in cars in one year. If I would have bought either BMW since they both are already AWD I could have sold my SUV and just had 1 car payment. Instead I have 2 car payments a month and I can't afford to get rid of my SUV because of my climate.

I like both G35c and Z(more to Z). G35c is good looking car, but it feels more luxury than sporty. Also the taillights on G35 just not match to the car. When they are on, they look like the eyes of Sony Aibo.

Anyway, I think it's funny as hell that this obvious troll comes on here trying to start trouble and he gets mainly intelligent, well-reasoned, civilized replies! Notice he hasn't posted again? It probably pissed him off & he went to a lesser board to stir up trouble.
Well-done, people!
