Question Any Regrets to Those who OWN IT ?

I bought my black 350Z Track for $28,300 with only 3K miles on it in condition as if it just came from the factory at the dealer's only car auction.

Man, drove that thing for 7 month and soon after immediately sold it and bought my beautiful babe magnet the G35 Coup. When going clubbing and pulling up to a valley, the car turns a lot of heads with many props to follow on the vehicle.

I don't know what i was thinking buying a 350Z. Being brutally honest here, it does NOT look as good as the G35. To this day i rarely see G35 Coups on the road.

I see at least 8-11 350Z's at the dealer's car auctions, but I have a client who is looking for a G35 and I still can't get one of these bad boys for him. They rarely pop in at car actions nationwide and i've been on hunt for one over 2 weeks now. i usually get my cars within a week tops.

Does anyone else share my view about 350Z and the G35 Coup? I think the G35 Coup is heads down sexier the best overall compare to a Z.

Not me. It puts a smile on my face everytime i see/drive my baby for close to a year now. I like both cars but overall the Z is more my liking because I didnt see the need of backseats. Plus, when looking at the Z/G35 side by side, the G is a much bigger car as opposed to the stout sport look of the Z. Not that bigger is a negative, its just not my flavor. And if I wanted to get the manual G I would of spent way more than I did with my Z.

As far as seeing more Z's, i really dont mind. For one, it generates a bigger community as we have here, and not to mention the aftermarket possibilities that it produces. True it can be said for the coupe since it shares the same platform, but i see more tuners for the Z right now.

In the end, we should be happy for both cars and not disrespect one over the other. Its just a matter of preference.

It's all about preference.

If you don't like the 350Z then what are you doing in here, why don't you go to a G35 forum. Doesn't make sense for you coming in here to disrespect Z owners. Didn't your momma teach you if you have nothing good to say, don't say it.

funny... I see alot more G35c's on the road then z's... I see them everywhere...

The Z is much more sporty... and it looks way better then the G35c...

but that is all a matter of personal taste...

some people like the ugly boxy ness of WRX's and crap like that...

Same thing happened to me. I bought the 350, and 3mos later my girlfiend bought the g35 coupe.Bottom line, I think for an everyday driver the g35 is it, thank god I have a daily driver and the Z sits in the garage waiting to go out!

I use to love the look of the G35coupe but, like most Japanese/sports/luxury coupes...it got old quick. I preferred the G35c over the Z, but to me the Z has much more potential from a tuner perspective.

I saw more G35c's on the road today than I did Z's. Some days I'll see more Z's than I do g35 coupes. Alot of people are starting to catch on to the appeal of the Infiniti so both cars are common here in San Diego.
Both cars got the same hysterical reaction when they were released but now they're everywhere. I just notice that Z's get more of a reaction now because the styling isn't as subtle as the G35c. Most of my "non-nissan fan" colleagues tend to overlook the G35c when it cruises by on the road...but they'll be quick to point and be excited about the Z.

We know both cars are close on the family tree therefore we like to compare them. However, most common folks on the road don't see the connection and don't care to compare the two cars. It's all preference and lifestyle.

On a somewhat parrallel note: I still get excited when I see a mid 90's Toyota Supra. However, when I see a mid 90's Lexus SC430...or whatever...it's like blah!

IMHO...To me , Japanese luxury cars get old quick! Their luxury designs are too contemporary and don't past the hands of time.

It really is a matter of personal preference. To me the "edgier" look of the Z is the look I prefer. I didn't care about a back seat. The only feature the 350 had that I wish was available on the Z is a sunroof, but I can live wthout it.

i wanted a true ports car and that's what I bought. If I had wanted a very nice two door sports sedan, I would have bought the G35.

On two separate occasions, I've happened to pull into a gas station at about the same time as a G35. Both times, people came up to me and asked me about my Z. Nobody even gave the G35 a second glance.

In the end, they are two great cars, designed for two different market segments. Neither is better than the other, just different.

2 letters, B and S, everyone knows the 350z, is way better than the g35c, everything about the 350z, is better than the g35, basically the only good thing about that car is the luxury, so what if the 350z interior is mostly made of plastic, it looks WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY YYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY better than the g35c interior. If you and me were right in front of each other right now, we'd be hehe.

I keep myself thinking, if the g35c has like better luxury components in the interior, wouldn't the stuff add weight to the car? Also, the g35c is 280 horses, and the 350z is 287 xP, better xP don't you think?

hey whats wrong with wrx's, i got me one myself xP

I love both cars, XCEPT I cannot find any 350z's around here to run with, G35's there's definately more on the road, but their owners are pretty tame . To me the Z personally looks a lot more my taste (aggressive, fast, and mean which in turns equates out to gorgeously hot women wanting rides )

From a design standpoint alone the G35 seems alot more bloated and whale like compared to the Z's sportyness, I can see the G35 having more "pimp" appeal in that regard for sure, but from outside to in it just does'nt have the presence the Z does. I bet if there was a Z present when that fellow was cruisin from the night club the Z woulda got more stares I have no doubt..

I think the G35 looks extremely nice in pictures, but in real life, the high hoodline and the plain rear end really standout and lessen the effect of the design.

The Z looks less showy in pictures, but in in person, you really notice all the subtle angles, edges and design work - it's really a beautifully sculpted car!

I haven't seen a Z Roadster in real life YET, and I think a G35 Convertible would be WAY cool, but as for now, the Z takes the cake.

The G35 doesn't look good unless it has some mods, rims or whatever.

The Z looks great stock, add some mods to the Z and BAM!!!!!! Iit makes G35 look like a Yugo to me.

Only a few regrets

1. The 350z is not as economical as buying the BMW 325XI or 330XI, which were the other cars I was looking into. It's not that the BMW's look better or they are faster, but they are all wheel drive so I would not have to have a winter car in addition to my Z if I had bought one of the BMWs.

2. I think I paid to much for my Z, the dealership had all of them marked up $3000 over MSRP, and after reading what others paid here I feel like the dealership ripped me off.

3. I wish there was a sunroof option, or maybe I should have waited for the roadster but paying nearly 10k more for a droptop just isn't very appealing.

Other than that I think the Z looks alot sportier than the G35, and while I don't see hardly any G35s I've only seen about 4 or 5 Zs in my area and mine is the only red one so I get tons of looks from people on the road

The G35C is a great car, but:
1) it came out 5 months later than the Z, so what is the surprise that there are more Z's out there? Wait until a year from now, I would be surprised that a 4-seater doesn't end up more numerous than a 2-seater.
2) The best sports sedan is still a sedan.

I had my doubts after I put the down on my Z, but all the feedback that I got from my buddies and my g/f (before my pickup) made me feel that the Z was the right choice... and I now don't have any regrets.

I would like to do what myinfinitig20 did, but I need to save that money for a down payment on a house. If I were to get a G35C, it would have to be black like my Z.
