Before i get into it... What kind of g@y @ss pic is that to start a thread with? NOW... Go back to the dealer that is trying to sell that car to you and the **** of them. that car is not a NISMO anything. If it has nismo parts it most likely was installed by the previous owner who was to lazy to remove them when he gave the car back. Nissan never used red calipers on the Z so that IS either a Caliper cover or a BBK. Go take better pix of the car so we can tell you more about a car that you obviously have no clue about.

I just can't get over how saleman don' t know their own cars. If I worked at a dealership I think I would have a little more pride in the cars I was selling. Don't they have some kind of training program. He is probably saying it is the NISMO edition to get some more money out of you. "How's about you give me the car for the base edition price considering you lied to me." If he says no walk and buy form someone on the forum.

Just about dealerships..I went to look at a 350Z about a month ago for the first time just to look at one. I told the salesman I was just starting to look at them and he told me how he could get me a real good deal if I get the car today. I told him I wanted manual and the car was automatic so I definitely did not want that one...I still went to look at it just to see the 350Z. He kept trying to convince me how fun it is to shift the automatic level in manual mode. The car had leather seats but that was the only option upgraded from base...I asked the guy sooo what model is this. He looked at the car puzzled for a few seconds and said its the umm touring because of the leather seats. Let's just say I did not buy from him haha.....Since that day I have received 4 phone calls from him and 2 letters in the mail.

most dealers don't know anything about Z's, even some nissan dealers which is pretty sad.. I remember when I first began my search, the nissan dealer that I drove with couldn't tell me the difference between all of the trim packages.. he just said some of the higher trims have suspension parts and that was it .. lol :/

luckily I wasn't going to buy just then and I took the time to do the research.

Ya I learned that its pretty much pointless asking them anything about the cars. I mean how hard is it to learn about the different models of a car you sell.....okay maybe its one thing if you only see one or two 350Z's a year in your dealership but just imagine working at a Nissan dealership and not being able to remember the different models.
I think my 'salesperson' should take some of the time he spends calling customers who have told him NO I DO NOT WANT THAT CAR and instead of trying to convince them ''oh come on its fun to move the automatic shifter to shift the car'' he should spend some time reading about the different models maybe?? Well I guess working for Nissan he would have a hard time getting his hands on some literature about the most F'in basic facts on the different models. Oh well, I wouldn't trust them anyway

LOL @ johnsonrodpackage

Actually you should take him up on it and when he gets down on his knees.
Take a pic with your phone camera and use it to blackmail him for 100$ over invoice . Or **** down his gullet. You decide.

Yeah I dont know what it is about dealers not knowing their cars.. you'd think it would be a given! Just a few months ago I was at the local infiniti dealership test driving their remaining G35 Sedans. Just for fun, I asked the salesguy who was in the car with me what the changes were for the 2009 G35's (which of course I knew that G35 Sedan will be discontinued and will be the G37 Sedan.) His response was, "it will be EXACTLY the same" My reply, so no changes? His reply, "Nope, everything is EXACTLY the same".

I did not buy..

his response is to get you to buy the current car you are in rather then create any doubt that you might want to wait for the next model. salesmen are all screw ups

Paychecks win over passion for the product.
Plain and simple.
