counting down the days until it's warm again
Actually, I like putting the car away for the winter. Every Spring, I get excited to bring the Z back out and pretend it's a new car.

There are so many reasons to put the Z away in the winter in certain parts of the country. Summer in Wyoming makes for some great driving - long, twisty roads, great scenery and little traffic. Winter is another story - sub zero temps., deep snow, wind and white-out conditions, residual gravel/sand on the road even when the snow is gone, idiot drivers, etc., etc. So, of course, My Z is in the garage waiting for spring. My Nissan Titan now gets my attention - gotta love 4 wheel drive in the winter.

North Texas (DFW area) - I do not park the Z for the winter - but do get very frustrated by keeping the top up for a few months (mostly)....

It's kind of a conundrum really. The car is a BEAST on cold days with the denser charge of air. However, when that first snow or ice hits the road, it gets dangerous quickly.

This is my favorite time of year to drive for speed an acceleration. But when things get slick, it's hello '95 Wrangler and 4-wheel drive!

You store it ALL winter???!!

I only don't drive mine when it snows, rains, or the roads are bad.... but that's just a minority of the winter.

Damn, that is a beater.

My daily driver is a '00 Maxima SE.... it's a nice car. Not as fun as the Z, obviously, but the Maxima is a fun car. The engine, VQ30DE, has 222 hp.

Just put my Z away for the winter here in N. Virginia. It was 50 degrees today, so I washed and dried her, filled up the tank with some Shell V-Power, revved her out for the last time, and then parked her in my friend's garage until warmer days As I walked away for the last time and looked back, she looked soooooo good all clean and cozy Until the Spring time, it's a '94 Jeep Cherokee Sport for me!

I just got a new DD. A 2000 Jeep Cherokee and it's a whole different type of fun. So, I'm actually enjoying driving it. At least until I get a ticket for crawling up giant dirt mounds at construction sites and the wife puts the clamp down on me, . Can't wait to start modding it though which is hurting my Z budget, haha.

Here in NJ its cold, but still drivable weather for now. I've got an 86 Mazda b2000 pick up with a broken chassis that i welded, so i do feel your pain. I just tell the dates like hey if you'd rather walk...

Yeah it just sits there. All carbon fibery, looking at me when I drive away. Kind of sad really.
