Default Rear strut brace/ luggage room

Hey guys (and gals) i have been lurking for quite a while researching this car. have kind of been wanting a Z since they came out. Now that i am close to finishing my education i am seriously looking at my next ride. the Z is right up there on the list.

now i have read a lot of threads, so i wont ask any of the usual newbie gas mileage questions, ha. But i did have one question that i wasn't able to find much when searching. My main gripe with the car is the lack of luggage room in the back, i know its a sports car so i don't expect much room, but the Z is really slim on space. The main culprit for the lack of space is that ginormous rear strut brace. i was wondering if there are any after market ones that can replace the stock brace? i don't want to lose the functionality of the brace, but it seems like quite a bit of luggage room could be cleared up with a less monstrous strut brace. any help would be appreciated.

It's not removable, at least not easily. Its part of the car's body structure.

hmmm, i was hoping a strut brace that wasn't so monstrously thick could replace it to gain some extra luggage space.... guess not

I'm not sure what it is that your trying to carry but with some ingenuity you can stuff a lot in this little car.

well, i leased a 06 gto for a while and the trunk was pretty tiny for such a large car, so i guess i am just a little sensitive to small luggage areas and want to have as much space as possible, ha

My son & I camped for a week, quite comfy, with the stuff we could take in the Z.

More important my take everything on a trip wife & I have taken week vacations in the Z.

As long as your not using hard shell large suitcases you will be fine.

Cant take it out. just like someone said before, as long as your not putting big hard cases in there, you should be fine. I managed to stuff a Sea Bag, another duffle bag, a backpack, some little tupperware containers and some other little things in there with room to spare on my way back to NC from leave.
You just gotta be smart about how you pack

Just like the others have said the luggage space in the z is really not that bad. I've stuffed a weeks worth of luggage in my car, with soft luggage bags.Hell i even put my dog kennel in the back (small dog). I'm very impressed with all the little storage areas in the car.I don't even miss a glove box.

The 370 will have more space as the brace has been modified and moved forward.

With the strut brace in place you might be surprised what you can carry in the back. Several small bags are better than one large bag.

yeah I'm pretty surprised in how much space there actually is back there. I used to have a Scion tC and those things have a huge amount of space in the hatch (but then again they have about half the HP - lol). I've been able to fit two large toolboxes as well as a jack and jackstands back there.
