My rule of thumb for those off ramps is the speed limit X2 is about where you spin on dry road.

VDC is your friend.
Nothing wrong with the base model. The driver simply needs to control the car. It would be a good idea for everyone to learn to drive rather than relying a computer to correct the driver's errors.

+1 ^^

Maybe he should take a car control class with the VDC on and off where one of the exercises is controlling the car on a wet road.

^^ imo base model is easier to drive in the rain because of the open diff youll only spin one wheel through a turn which doesnt make you lose control as it would spinning both wheels

that kinda happened to me too! I was taking a left hand turn relatively slow (like under 15mph) and the whole car spun out, the roads were a bit damp and i just lost control! Fortunately i didn't hit anything and there were no other cars around, and I am glad to hear you and your Z are ok too!

rain is more dangerous when it first starts as apposed to several hours or days afterwards since all the oil and gas gets washed aside..therefore the roads are always nicest to tear it up as soon as it stops and the sun comes out to dry it up =)

A 720 in an intersection from a dead stop!!!! That takes talent, and or lack of driving skill and a side of panic.

The base model is not the only model w/o VDC....

And- the only place I REALLY want VDC is in a SUV, not my sports car. But - that is only my opinion...
