Almost died in a car accident.
Long story short, It's been raning since few days ago in Georgia and I was going to work and I stopped at stop sign and waiting for green light and soon as it turns to green I push the accelator pedal and trying to make a left turn and my car spins out in rain (more than 720 degree) and I thought I was going to hit someone's car or hit the sideway but luckily I didn't hit anything. I thought I was going slow but I guess I'm wrong. The funny thing is I've been driving on this road for so long and this is my first time it happened to me in my life
I'm so glad that I'm okay and yeah my Z too. I thought I know how to drive stick well but I guess I'm wrong on this one too =(
I just want to say that drive safe and specially when it's raining.

Stop signs have lights in Georgia?

A more than 720° spin? Didn't your VDC or TCS kick in as soon as the back wheels started to come loose? Sounds to me like you punched it pretty hard when you started to turn and then didn't get off the accelerator pedal when the back end started to come around. I've tried to get my 07 loose going around a snow covered corner and the TCS/VDC catches it immediately and stops the spin before it even gets started. A couple of days ago it was raining and I stopped at a light. When it turned green and I started to accelerate the back tires spun momentarily until the TCS kicked in and stopped it. I'm having a hard time trying to figure out how you managed a "more than 720° spin".
I hit water on a freeway off ramp once, they were watering the greenery off one side of the ramp. Was a short straight after a right turn. I didn't know, could not see the sprinklers on until I came out of the corner at about 55 or so.
When I saw the water, I was like, holy sh&t, he a$$ end came hard left and I over corrected and it came hard right, bounced off the right side curb, spun around in a clockwise directrion and ended up facing the wrong way with the a$$ end up on the left side curb about 6 inches short of the guard rail that separated the off ramp from the on ramp...
THAT was when I thought I was in pretty deep trouble... Thought / felt like I wrecked the Z. Luckily, no one else on the ramp as it was late. Tore up the right rear suspesion and wheel but that was it.
I earned a healthy respect for wet pavement and blind corners.
